Not going to even lie, I don’t trust any random images on social media or Reddit anymore because I can’t be sure if it’s authentic or AI anymore.

Honestly, I think anonymous speech is the bigger problem. Lies get first amendment protection, but things like the robocall that faked Biden's voice could be prosecuted with existing law once we identify the perp (which in that case, I think we did). But you don't need AI necessarily to produce misinformation -- Photoshop, clever editing, even written word can suffice -- but you do need anonymity. I don't think we will make a dent by trying to regulate AI; I think you need to get at the problem by having people stand by the speech they author. Some will vociferously object that anonymous speech is necessary for free speech; I'm not sure I believe that.

I may have once believed it but not any more
It emboldens devious deceptive vile cruel evil cowardous

(EDIT) However I do have major concerns about the fallout from people not having anonymity

    DOXing for instance
There is LEGIT danger because of insane and easy swayed folx

    AI being creepy

"The Associated Press reported that an official Meta AI chatbot inserted itself into a conversation in a private Facebook group for Manhattan moms. It claimed it too had a child in school in New York City, but when confronted by the group members, it later apologized before its comments disappeared, according to screenshots shown to The Associated Press.

“Apologies for the mistake! I’m just a large language model, I don’t have experiences or children,” the chatbot told the group." (article)

Anonymity protects from threats and violence, both by the government and by those who hate free speech.

The Charlie Hebdo cartoonists would still be alive had they been anonymous.

Should they have to be anonymous? No.

But those who hate free speech stop at nothing, not even murder.

Yea, you only need 51 corrupt intelligence agents to lie to the American people. You didn't care, right? Of course not. After all, it was in service to the mega-rich elites of the Washington Establishment.

Don't worry. Our Washington masters know who is posting what. They probably have you classified as a faithful servant of the Regime. As for me, they probably have me labeled as a disgruntled but harmless opponent.

link to the AP article . Hallucination is a well-known issue with AI. As an agent, it can indeed be creepy. Would recommend turning off the feature.

Facebook’s online help page says the Meta AI agent will join a group conversation if invited, or if someone “asks a question in a post and no one responds within an hour.” The group’s administrators have the ability to turn it off.

Woke people living in Canada or students at Columbia

    will never go to Gaza

so that’s like the woke people who posts and claim that Oakland doesn’t have bad crime

but no way they will leave their parents house in Katy to be there on the streets

I know woke people , even skinny ones
They posts lots of stuff about the struggle but they live in a mansion in Canada

that’s the problem , woke people have created their own reality where Islam loves lgbt and drag shows

look at the homeless problem, it’s not putting them in homes
It’s not the real underlying problem

they built tons of shelters and no homeless show up unless it’s cold outside

Nah, it's not 1984 unless you live in N. Korea, China or as an "undesirable" in Russia.

Our reality is more like Brave New World, though the government caters more to an oligopoly than the American Dream or whatever that meant. We tried pushing the slogan "Learn to Code" to hillbillies and laid off factory workers. Even if they did, AI programs faster and better than they would.

We have plenty of soma for all walks of life.
