I used to be a web developer, started in the mid 90's.... got tired of programming... went back to school. currently a business analyst... and i still don't know what i'm suppose to be doing... but hey they're paying so i can't complain.
yeah it's at the downtown campus i know texas pan american college also has a pretyy good criminal justice program
community college chemistry instructor.... guide everyone through the lab calculations, make sure they don't blow anything up, and sweep up broken glass. Manage to sneak in an occasional post on clutchfans (like, ummm, right now). I'm also in full-time school for a music degree. No offense, but a lot of y'all's jobs sound boring enough to make me pull my hair out. Though I'm sure you enjoy a considerably nicer lifestyle.
OK now. I get to spend all day singing and playing the piano (though sometimes under pressure), sitting in classrooms where the teacher doesn't truly know if I'm paying attention or not, and watching other people's performances... when that visiting tenor came yesterday, I let my hair down, sat in the back wrapped up in a sweater, and got a nice nap when the lights were turned down. And at night... I get to show people how to do calculations, make pretty colors, and best of all burn things. Not too bad... except I'm just now getting finished, I live all the way across town, and I've got an 8:00 class in the morning.
I did the same duties for $6/hour while I was a student. Now, I'm a process control engineer. But I'm working a startup, so I'm really a marginally qualified instrumentation engineer.
Right now I'm a student at SHSU, but in a year or so I'll be a high school English teacher. I imagine I'll do that for a year or two before I really realize that I don't want to do that for the rest of my life. At which point I'll probably try to go back to school, and I'll do terribly. Then I'll move to a foreign country to teach English. As soon as I get acclimated to that lifestyle and finally somewhat satisfied with my life, I'll find out that cheap hooker I did two weeks ago was crawling with all sorts of STDs, and that my penis is about to fall off. Yes, I am certainly looking forward to my future.
