COOL, how many years of experience? Where do you usually go when you get stuck on a coding problem? My first place is the forums on ASP.NET website. I have to deal with those sometimes...I really want to learn Flash though but I never got around to it to REALLY learn it! Not when your name is LADY DI! Damn it, I knew this wasn't an original thread!
I started my job in January. In my past job, I developed in PHP and mySQL. For reference, I generally go to http://www.tek-tips.com/. That site is a life-saver, especially considering how new I am to ASP.Net, and there's only one other developer here at the office. Where do you work at? What school do you go to? I just started part time school at South Texas. Any advice for a 1L?
I think the fun version of this thread is when we post where we work. I'm sure there are some of us that work together and don't know it.
If I may answer, I stopped doing ASP with classic ASP 2.0, as I was moved to become a LINUX/WEB administrator, but a buddy from here (yes, he also posts here, harrisment) found the following that will help: http://www.aspin.com/ http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/ Try www.w3schools.com for quick syntax check, too. If you want to learn some FLASH, Lady, check out the books at bookpool.com. I do a lot of PERL+CGI, HTML, PHP on my spare and personal time... I know it's not related, and might hijack this thread, but does anyone have a good example of a simple proposal for a small business if I want to do their website? My last client asked for one... I've never written one... and NO, I don't want to use Word's "Small Business Proposal" template.
I have two jobs where I bascially end the day amazed half the people I deal with can even use a telephone, much less hold down a decent-paying job.
Well, one job I expect it. It's a bunch of random people all over the globe playing Major's game. The other one I deal with law firms. Ugh.
