They're not selfish, but they are ball hogs. They're not selfish because they don't do what they do to pad their stats and try and make the allstar team. They are ball hogs because they don't trust their teammates and try and do everything themselves. Some of you don't get that, I know this because they're are people like Yetti who always accuse Francis and Mobley of padding their stats.

    Well said.

Selfish would mean that they are self-centered and are actually "ball hogging" in the hope they will pad their stats.

Me, a infamous Francis basher, never said that. My point is that Francis JUST DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DISTRIBUTE. It's called competence (or incompetence). Either you are competent in something or you are not.

It was a skill that he never developed. He was busy dunking and shooting when he was a teenager.

In order to get good at something you have to consciously make it a part of your game. And it was not a main part of his skill set (development) in H.S., Junior College and Maryland.

He's used the NBA to "teach himself" this necessary skill. And we're witnessing this "growth."

Hopefully JVG can help him more.

But if she was asking for it, would he still be unselfish?

Very true. He might only be giving it to her because she asked. But we all know, you only give unselfishly if someone doesn't ask for it.

I mean for all we know, maybe Jason was only giving it to her because she asked, but he really didn't want to give it to her in the first place.

    Maybe she's the selfish one!

But it's hard to distribute to 1 of 4 other players who are just standing there watching you and waiting for you to take your man off the dribble in Rudy's offense.

OK, you can get back to piling on the thread-starter now. Sorry to interrupt. :D

J Kidd is not unselfish or is selfish for he only passes to pad his assitst stats and hide from bricking.

But he sometimes isn't unselfish always because he gave it to SheWanna " uppercut" Kidd. He didn't stop being always sometimes not unselfish when he gave it his son sitting court side too.:D

True. Rudy's system was part of the problem too.

    Help us, JVG.
