How do they track usage rate? Because FVV is around 17% I swear he is either dribbling the ball, shooting it or passing it 30% of the time he's in there.

Usage rate has nothing to do with dribbling. It is calculated by last action: fga, fta, assists and turnovers.

I think Jabari is in a shooting slump. Even if he improves/reverts back to his usual self, I think he goes to the bench within 15 games. I think he's going to need a big jump from his previous best to stay the starter. Granted, I think Amen and Tari are legit, and at least one of them should be starting now.

Udoka has to think of the team first. I think it's obvious that Eason should be starting over Smith but it appears they are letting history and draft status rule the day.

I'd say Udoka is trying to manage people. Demoting someone is a big deal.

Udoka is giving JSJ every chance he can because Udoka believes in chemistry. Udoka doesn't seem to type that will change the starting lineup much as he wants these guys to learn to play together.

I don’t know, I think they’re letting winning rule the day. Both of those guys are playing well off the bench, Eason is getting as many minutes as Smith and they’re winning. I agree that Eason is better than Smith, but why fix what’s not broken?

The goal is not to be "not broken".

The goal is to win the finals (at some point in the next 7 years). Some may view treating development as the only path to this goal and punt this season. Others think trades, FA, draft, injuries, development of the best young guys as much as you can, and development of other young players as much as you can without significantly impacting winning is a path as well. I'm in this second group.
