Minority Democrats in San Francisco look to recall Woke Whitey: update done

They need a sleepy blackey DA who HATES crime

 

Who knows what will be done …California puts greater protection for perpetrators versus actual victims as a priority and think that’s progress but the people can decide once hearts and minds change due to crime vulnerability setting in more and more

 

The pandemic crime rate killed criminal justice reform, police defunding, and it will kill all calls for reforming police training.

Government's first responsibility is protecting citizens

 

There's been a strong push for "tough on crime" politicians (or at least policies) in liberal areas like Seattle, Austin, etc.

Nobody loves crime. We should work to address the root causes, but misplaced empathy and forgiveness is just naively stupid and most liberals have realized that now (after suffering through property crime and rampant harassment and public drug use).

 

It sucks because where are you going to put these homeless drug addicts? They aren’t stray dogs that we can just destroy. Jail cost enormous amounts of money. Our mental healthcare system is garbage.

 

They recalled this moron.

 

I haven't followed this recall election but from little I've seen it does seem like the SF DA is suffering from the same problems with "Defund the Police" calls. For all of the problems with law enforcement it is clear that most in this country still want them to do more to combat crime.

The Democrats need to a better balance (and better slogans) to address that.

 

Our society is not capable of problem solving for long term solutions. These tough on crime beliefs are nothing more than band aids that do nothing besides show a short term "fix" but in the long term just helps ehance wealth inequality and then more crime.

It's a sad state of affairs. We will always be chasing our own tail running around in circles until society collapses.

 

In San Francisco. Think through the ramifications of this, if you can.

 

The most progressive places also have their fair share of NIMBYs, the bane of society. These type of people are always looking for short term remedies to systemic issues.

 

More expensive rent: the average one bedroom in San Francisco or the inside of tinman's brain for cities where he doesn't live, but dislikes their local politicians?
