    What?

Battier + Rafer + Expirings for Allen Iverson....uh...yes please.

We would need a new SF though.....Bones can not hold up as the starter all year.

Wow, that would be crazy. Not sure how credible the guy is but he sounds very confident. Almost too much to be true.

Highly doubt it, plus that would destroy the 2010 plan.

Really? How? Iverson has one year left at 21 million. That's a huge expiring contract.

Highly improbable.Denver may value Battier's defense but they know AI's value is much higher than him plus Rafer. The Nuggets won't do anything to help the Rockets. It's all speculation. A minor trade on the other hand is a possibility. I didn't realize AI's contract was that large.Even if wasn't it wouldn't happen anyway.

No kidding, it would be a huge load off of the Rockets and if it didn't work out this year they could be major players next year.....one year early.

    I would do this deal.

    Saleem,

Denver may be trying to get rid of him....and move another direction.....

AI is a expiring himself, I don't see how this would work unless TMAC or Yao is involved.

I thought it would be better to work with 3 contracts (battier, rafer, novak?) than just one.

    Battier + BJax + Rafer for AI....works.

    Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Houston and Denver being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Denver had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I don't think Morey will take a big contract on a player who isn't worth it. I don't know if the Knicks have any cheap contracts for a 2:1 deal.

Yea but I really don't see Denver doing that deal, I am hoping i am wrong.

The only way I see Denver trading AI is for someone to take Kenyon Martin as well.

I could see Denver wanting to make the Nuggets Melo's team. I don't think Rafer would be bad for them either. He has played with Yao and Tmac the last couple years and is actually a pretty pure point guard. I think a trade like this would actually make the Nuggets a much better team. I could see both sides wanting to do this. Is it likely? Who knows.

It would certainly stir up a hornets nest around here.

We would have a great starting PG, but a hole at the SG spot.....we would need to sign a wing player to fill it......are there any left?

No way would I want him as my starting SG...we need a starter that can play D and shoot the 3.....a Mario Elie type....until Donte develops.

Well if you do that trade you pretty much force Donte Greene to play alot more mins expected during his rookie year (ala Head) then you can shift TMAC to the 2, and maybe have landry split sometime at the 3.

Also is Iverson a true PG? If I had my preference he would be at the 2 which would mean we have the shortest backcourt ever, Brooks and Iverson..... But we still have Stevie, maybe he can get back into shape and be the Rocket's PG again.

Ah speculations can be so fun.
