This would explain why he didn't play yesterday...I wasn't convinced it was due to contract negotiations...Landry played unsigned last year.

Interesting, how many 2008 2nd rounders are playing in the summer leagues? How many aren't? How many are currently signed?

I would like to see the rox go after some of the young un-extended talent. One poster mentioned Battier for Outlaw and Diogu. That makes a lot of sense. A team with a logjam is NJ with Kristic, Lopez,Swift,Williams,Boone and Yi at the 4/5 spot. We know Lopez and Yi are there, but the other can be had. I really like Boone because he can play 4/5, is young productive and cheap. He's on his rookie deal (1.2m) and the rox can offer a couple of players to get a te because NJ is under the cap. Head and Hayes for Boone would give the rox a 2.4 te and a guy who can send Landry and Deke on his way opening 3 roster spots if u really add it up. It also opens the mle up for other players.

Luther must go. His contribution is negative.

Novak is a keeper I guess because Morey mentioned we need shooting.

Luther, Novak, and Harris to Milwaukee for Charlie Villanueva. That's what I want. Minor deal.

If we can't do that, then send those 3 to Denver for Chucky Atkins.

If we can't do that, then send Francis and Luther to Cleveland for Damon Jones.

Damon Jones? I'd rather have Luther than him.

Yeah. But Jones is a larger expiring. We can combine a couple guys to create the roster spot. And really.........there ain't much difference between Jones and Head besides age.

we should really be looking for a 3 for 1 trade, hopefully an expiring, jackson for wells, james would be a good example. this time we need to include novak, head, sf3, and hayes.

i can actually see us keeping hayes though because i know morey considers him as one of the top defensive players at the 4, but his liability on the offensive side is something to be considered, now with dorsey, i'm not sure we need to keep both of them.

    Link?

I think you are a bit confused, the NBA has a period where teams have to either pick up or decline on players options, and I think it was during the summer, and not at the end of the season like you suggest. Specualtion. Would like the facts.

I was thinking it was earlier than that.

I wonder what it would take for Portland to give us Petteri Koponen...

according to the CBA there is a 14 day period between picking up the option and being eligible to be traded
