It's worth a shot. Honestly I think you do a great job of aggregating data and reporting it, but your writing could use some improvements if you do seriously want a beat writer job like that. You over editorialize most of your content and use a lot of references which aren't readily apparent. That being said you do break a ton of news points from twitter and you clearly have a passion for the topic. That's as much as one could ask from beat reporter, to actually like the team they follow. I'd say go for it friend.
Astros would eat the OKC bullpen alive, not to mention their starters. Bullpen has blown 18 saves (only Cleveland has more in the AL), but the Bullpen has also lost a major league leading 27 games. It has the highest ERA by over half a run (5.14 to Seattle's 4.63, with Philly next at 4.29). They've given up the most walks, and have the highest BAA. The bullpen has given up 70 runs more so far than an average AL bullpen. Our bullpen is the worst in the past 3 seasons. There have been several times a starter has taken a loss this season when the bullpen allowed inherited runners to score. They struggle to keep you in close games. I'm not talking about the entire season, but rather more recently as far as being competitive.
Keep in mind, this news paper employs Jerome Solomon, so standards aren't TOO high Are you going to actually pursue it? I would be really curious if you were. I mean it seems right up your alley (content focused, summaries, social media consistency).
Wow dude, you should stick to the garm. Have you seen the players numbers last time they got an extended look at minor league pitching. Just a sample of OPS J.D. Martinez .959 Jose Altuve .958 Brett Wallace .952 Brandon Barnes .894 Marc Krauss .881 Chris Carter .853 The pitching staff is the same way. These players, even on the terrible Astros, have proven to be great minor league players, they are here for a reason.
WTHB: Roster Moves As we all know, Sergio Escalona had the hammer dropped on him. Tony Kemp, Zach Morton, and Pat Christensen have been promoted to the Quad Cities. Tyler White is on his way up again, as he's joining Tri-City. Correa is already 2-2 on the night, up to .330 on the year. He's hitting .459 over his last 10 games. It's time.
