Agreed...and at 18, you could even raise the voting power to lower the age. Someone with the motivation just needs to do it.

Do you think you would see more 18 year old girls than 18 year old dudes? Probably not. I don't know about you, but I still go to the bar a couple times a week and the last thing I want to see are a bunch high school kids getting destroyed.

I really don't see the argument for this, most people are dumb as hell at 21, let alone 18.

Maybe you should think about the impact it could have on you and your family(18 year olds can barely drive sober), not how "most young men" would benefit from having more sloppy drunk girls at the bar.

As for the military, I think they should push back the age of enrollment, or draft.

It was 18 when I was growing up, and then turned to 19, there was no problem...the only reason a lot of states changed it was because the Federal government decided to hold back Highway funds unless the states conformed.

It should be 18, if you are old enough to vote, old enough to fight for our country in the military, you are old enough to belly up to a bar.

This coddling of young adults needs to stop, they are old enough to know right from wrong.

If you don't know the difference between "you're" and "your," then you're too stupid to drink.

    In my humble opinion.

But yeah: old enough to vote and old enough to go to war = old enough to drink.

No, but since they're 70-ish% of the population I would expect to see the prisons and courthouses a bit more demographically balanced than they probably are, if cops were serious about enforcing underage drinking laws (which I'm glad they are not).
