well for starters i don't thinkt he rockets will be fighting for an 8th spot. i'm feeling good about seeing us up there and high up there. so let the wolves battle out the 8th with maybe the nuggets clippers and the rest. clippers will be awesme. i see something really nice there. they need a coach though.... i see the suns chokin so i don't realy see a problem as long as we are somewhere up there in the play off positions. ------------------ "Wahooo"-homer I'm not only a fan but I'm also the bartender at clutchcity chat For the last time I'm not Tybrave!!!!!
Three. "Minnesota". ------------------ "Do you have a patent on stupidity, or do you simply attempt to extend its bounds?" -- Gascon asking NYKRule to talk a little bit about himself...
If this trade go though it will be interesting to see what happens to Rashard Lewis. Wally Szczerbiak is a small forward, I don’t see him playing anywhere else. The Sonics are overloaded at small forward with Szczerbiak, Lewis, Vladimir Radmanovic and Desmond Mason (SG/SF). I sure they will not re-signed Ruben Patterson. Lewis and Szczerbizk contract has an option after next season. While Szczerbizk’s option is a rookie contract team option and most likely to be picked up (only $2.9mil) Lewis’ option is a player. Everyone else is locked up beyond that. After next season I can see Lewis as a free agent. [This message has been edited by Cat5 (edited June 30, 2001).]
You guys have got to be kidding. This is a great trade for both teams. Payton has 3-5 years left at his prime. He's the best point guard in the game. Garnett is the best at his position. They need to get better now. Joe Smith will probably come back to replace Scerbiak, Woods is a steal, and a valuable addition, even though I'm sure they'd like to find an experienced center. Minnesota will be a MUCH better team this year, as a result of this trade. Not enough to beat LA, but in the hunt. ... Now 5 years from now they won't be in as good a spot... ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
First off, Minnesota has already been a playoff team for the past few years, so not sure what "playoff team again" means. Second, Payton is past his prime. Third, until Garnett steps it up in the playoffs, the trade will be irrelevant.
