We have so many player sightings out there these days. I say we run a contest predicting where his first sighting will be......

I predict Pappasitos on Kirby at Richmond. He will get indoctrinated into TexMex cuisine within in his first week here in Houston is my take.........

I think Yao's first official restaurant sighting will be Taste of Texas for steak or 'cue.

Remeber, he likes red meat. It is reported the Shanghai Branch of Tony Roma is his favorate American restraunt, I bet he would be introduced to a nice Texas barbecue restraunt. I can see that he will love TexMex and T-bone/ryb eyes w/ aujour sources as most Asians tend to love these kinds of American cuisinie. Food marinated with cajun sources may also go quite well for Yao.

One thing I think that he would not enjoy is the Texas chicken steak.

I tell ya somebody better hurry up and open a Chinese restaurant named "Ming's" in Houston. That by default may get lots of business. :)

I went to one at Chicago suburb called "Ming's" some years ago. Ming is a very popular given name among Chinese.

There is one. I think it's called Ming's Cafe on Montrose and Westheimer.

I'm guessing it's going to be a restuarant in Chinatown. My bet is on "Ocean Palace" (next to Hong Kong Market).

Actually, we are all wrong. It will probably be Mickey D's because spare change is all the money his Chinese cohorts left him with.:D

PF Changs - that place is the bomb. Delicious. I have seen Scottie Pippen and Mobes there. It was Mobes' first year and no one knew who he was but I watched him in the final four the previous year with Rhode Island so when I saw him I asked for his autograph and he was really cool about it and talked to me and my girlfriend for a while. I told him I thought he would be really good and I was glad we had him that he should have drafted higher but I am glad he slipped to us. He was just like a normal dude and was very polite.

Come on now chicken fried steak is a Texas dish. Couldn't live without it. No true Texan would ever turn down a mouth watering Chicken Fried Steak.

    :D :D :D :D :D

I forgot the name, but Wang ZhiZhi talked about some restaurant in Houston that has good Peking Duck. He said he'll bring Yao there. It was in an article about rumors of Wang defecting. I think the restaurant's name was Golden something...
