Not neccessarily. Davis was more than willing to give up all the battles and successes (1gm from the EC Finals in 01 and the second rd again last yr.) he had w/ his teammates to play in a "major market" (LA, NY, Chi). He was ready to leave a playoff team for any one of three below-average teams. He openly lobbied to be traded and only resigned after Miller was traded to LA and the GM came out publicly and said there was no way they were gonna trade him and that Davis would be a Hornet for at least the rest of his contract if he liked it or not. Is that really the type of palyer or situation you want to have? Francis has done absolutely NOTHING of the sort. All Steve said was that Ming was an "unknown" and guess what? MIng is!! Deep down I think everyone is a little unsure about Ming so why can't Steve?

    OH COMM'ON GUYS....
Francis is the type of guy who #1 shoot, #2 pass

just ask yourself... TRUE OR FALSE????
if he were to play w/ a John Stockton or a Jason Kidd...
Ming would EASILY get 20/10 his first season.. ?

but he'll probably just get 14/10 because he's playing w/ Francis. cuz Francis won't pass him the ball.

I don't really see Ming being out-played by any other centers in the NBA other than Shaq....... he's what? already a 296 pounder... that's like 2nd or 3rd ONLY behind Shaq... he'll get at least 10+ rebounds EASILY.. if he gets playing time of course...

and remember, Ming shoots 75% in the gym... and he also shoots 70% in games............... NBA games are much faster than in China or Internationally...but Ming doesn't even need to post up to give teams problems.. he can just stay in that 10~15 foot range and shoot jumpers all day........... tell me who is going to block a 7'6 guy shooting 10~15 foot jumpers? oh yeah..and did anyone mention that he can also shoot 3s? and shoot them at a higher percentage than likes of Kobe Bryant / Iverson?????? hahah...

    Stop telling lies troll!

Back your statements up with facts.

You can't back your statements up with facts because the facts do not support your lies.

I don't want to start a new thread. Instead of arguing how many points and rebounds Yao Ming will get, I think it's more interesting to ask the question:

If you were Rudy, what kind of plays will you install, what kind of game plans, strategies will you use, in light of the addition of Yao and Nachbar?

Your right Guest, Ming probably would have 20/10 if he were playing with Stockton and was the focus of the offense with no other good options. However, Stockton would have 10. With Ming and Francis, Ming gets 14/10, while Francis gets 20. Looks to me like Francis and Ming is a more efficient duo than Stockton and Ming.
