Was early in the morning and I just got up. Should've worded it different and said Socialist nations.
"disappears when things get tough and doesn't know what defense is - a true Serb" Do you have anything against Serbians? That seems like an awfully generalizing statement.
Yeah it's a generalization and not all Serbians are like this of course. But I've seen it many times, not only with him. And our history has some awkward Serb moments too. No, I don't have anything against them. Some of my better friends are Serbs.
yup exactly. It's not an insult but in general the serbian school of bball hasn't produced the most good defensive players and over the years their NT has had mental breakdowns not a few times. So it's perfectably acceptable to say it. Also it's the same with the croats which is almost synonymous with a mental headcase at this point. lol
Slovenians were in the same boat for all of our brief history (independence since 1990). We just couldn't get it done even when we were favourites for podium. The closest we got was at Eurobasket in Poland, where we had a meltdown against Greece, similar to Clippers in Game 5 against Houston. That's why the championship at Eurobasket last year was such a surprise for most of Europe. but not for us. Dragić was man on a mission with killer look in his eyes, Dončić was playing with youthful abandon, and Kokoškov tied it all together. I don't think we have such a run in us in near, or even far future.
Another overhyped overseas 'prospect'. Yeah, just like they have long awaited the arrival of Billy Spanoulis, Juan Carlos Navarro, Ricky Rubio, Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Llull. . . Milos Teodosic Talks About Leaving Clippers Frustrated over a lack of playing time, Clippers guard Milos Teodosic is thinking about returning to the EuroLeague, possibly before the season ends. In an interview with GlasAmerike, Teodosic sounds ready to end his NBA experiment. “I think I definitely won’t stay here because … I came, I saw how it looks and somehow … I enjoy more and it’s nicer for me to play in Europe,” he said. “So, I will return to Europe for sure, will it be during this season or at the end, we’ll see.” The 31-year-old was a longtime star in Europe before deciding to give the NBA a try last season. However, his brief career in the U.S. has been marked by injuries. He was limited to 45 games last year, then suffered a tear of the plantar fascia in his left foot near the end of the season. He has gotten into just eight games this year and is averaging about 10 minutes per night in a crowded Clippers backcourt. If he does get out of his NBA contract, Teodosic would be in great demand in Europe, Stroggylakis adds. When he came to the Clippers in the summer of 2017, the Serbian star passed on a three-year, $12MM offer from CSKA Moscow that would have made him the highest-paid player in the EuroLeague.
It's nearly impossible to gain lateral quickness. Milos just can't hang with elite quickness unfortunately.
