I would have worded it different BUT you are 100% correct. Their draft history has been horrible, they would bring in free agents with questionable past to make up for bad drafts but the Texans don't do that!

People keep saying Caserio is going to be a SAVIOR but from his recent transactions, he's 0-3!

He lost on Anthony Miller, Shaq Lawson, and Cannon!

I failed to mention that Colin Kaepernick went to a Super Bowl and a NFC Championship Game playing the exact same style but I thought he was a little more limited than Jackson.

With Cal, Easterby and Caserio, I got a funny feeling that this is going to be a long rebuild.

I’m very aware. And he was figured out right after. Greg Roman system makes it easy, but it’s a simple system and very easy to game plan for

I think injuries and free agent defections are what lead to the 49ers down fall more so than the NFL figuring it out or they would have used the same plan to stop Lamar Jackson, correct?

But the playoffs will definitely settle the debate

Lamar is better than Kap. But it’s still a simple offense.

I think Mills's absolute ceiling is Ryan Tannehill.

Agreed, except the QB's that can throw from the pocket and run as a last resort seem to be the QB's that are winning championships.

Baseball may be the exception to the rule as well as Golf/Hockey.

Hopefully with more of a clutch gene.

Tannehill took the Titans to the AFCCG with a lead in the 3rd qtr two years ago. Not bad.

I think they got rid of that philosophy bc most qbs struggle the first year of actual playing rather they had a redshirt year or not.

This thread is a mess. Y'all need to quit feeding trolls.

Mills has impressed me this season with how well he's handled things considering how inexperienced he is. Certainly it wasn't the plan for him to be starting so early in his NFL career, but it is good to see him improving and demonstrating that he has skills to justify potentially being a future QB. Realistically, he's definitely not better than Tyrod yet and Tyrod should be starting again once he's healthy, but it was nice to get a bit of a preview of Mills to see what he is working with.

Luckily Mahomes had Alex Smith in front of him. Not saying Mills is anywhere on the level of a Mahomes.

That's pretty good. Or are you saying it's going to take him to 31 years of age like Tannehill to reach Tannehill level? In which case, I'd say ain't nobody got time for that!

From preseason to now Mills looks much more comfortable just need some nuances to his throws. With his arm, he could have easily lobbed the ball over the defender in his 2nd int. But he didn't, he thought he could rifle it in there.

The only thing I like about Davis Mills is that he is a #1 overall pick guarantee.

Lawrence, Wilson and Fields would lead this team to the first pick as well
