Most of Yao's errors are not because of slow thinking
as much as a bad habit of bring the ball down to low.
    :)

This is not an EITHER OR Situation.
I think Yao needs to mix it up more. . .
maybe 40% high post 60% low post.

You thought Moses Malone was a smart guy?

    Really?

Ok, we are not going to agree there....

So is this to prevent him from getting fronted?

If so why isn't it easy for him to watch footage and learn, he has a high bball iq doesn't he?

yao can pass and set screens from the high post, but he can't score from there.

adelman tried that with yao for the first 2 months in his first year here and yao was struggling for his offense.

i do hope he can develop a legit high post game b/c that will prolong his career.

He knows what to do but his size gives him physical limitations, he can not move quickly, has trouble catching the ball and his center of gravity is too high and thus he is easily displaced.

As much of an advantage it is to be 7'6" tall, there are also some sever disadvantages too.

I wonder if Hakeem thinks Moses is smart? I suspect that he does.

That is why I love Yao. People say he is just a tall big guy with no skill. But that video proves he is a excellent skilled big man. You have to have a high basketball IQ to make those passes. I just hope he stays healthy this year...

WTF? That's a response that makes sense? Pardon me while I search for my volume of The Collected Works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Yeah, it means you are guessing that you think Hakeem thinks Moses is smart.

It is not any proof that Hakeem thinks that, just that you believe it.

Here is the opposite argument and see what you think of it.

I believe Hakeem thought Moses was a good basketball player but an idiot off the court.

See how that seems kind of silly?

No, I don't find it silly. I'd like to see something that would make me believe Dream felt that way. I have seen numerous quotes of Hakeem praising Malone, who was his mentor.

Moses is not highly educated. Doesn't make him dumb.

The same kind of observational data you are using to say he isn't.

Let's do this some more, it is really fun.
