What was the logic behind picking this guy?
I mean . . . someone suggested it was Trump Arrogance in that he could win with anyone

I think he was chosen thinking he had the presidency in the bag and chose a VP candidate that would satisfy the tech bro capital demographic. Trump campaign wants the Peter Thiels of the world to be their sugar daddies.

That’s the theory. Trump and his team, believing they would easily win the election, acted arrogantly by choosing someone he personally liked rather than someone strategically positioned to secure a victory.

 

I think it's so the campaign signals to the tech bro entrepreneur class that these are his people.

The contrast between the two candidates and their campaigns is pretty clear. We'll see who Harris picks as the VP next week.

 

How are people not respecting his service? I'm assuming that other members questioned fchowd's love for the US and others came to the defense of that.

Has anyone ever argued military service absolved you of criticism or ridicule?

 

I can appreciate someone's military service while also admonishing their couch ****ing.

 

Plenty of Marines would make fun on JD Vance just because he's form air wing. Infantry guys can be assholes like that.
