The security for this building will have to be tighter than the Kremlin. Ridiculous idea.

It will be target #1. The royal family has had some hard crackdowns on extremists within Saudi Arabia and there is no love lost.

    This project will not happen.

Why does Cartoon Network need such a huge tower and why is it located in Canada?

These buildings in Saudi Arabia must be mostly empty.

By the way, a question for you all on here. If you had THAT much money and you wanted to build something impressive, what would you build?

I'd rather build a ridiculous sports stadium.

    UAE Rockets?

Wait, unless my high school math is escaping me, isn't a mile = 5280 ft? So it's actually 0.99 mile-high tower, right? :)

Can't they put a big needle at the top to make a whole mile?

Why are they quoting this building's height in miles? I thought they used kilometers

It is. This should be the "30 feet short of a mile" building.

I wonder how long it would take to get from the bottom to the top.

On a side note, does anybody remember hearing about the mile high building that was proposed in Japan years ago? It was supposed to be over a mile high and larger than a mountain. I'll try to see if I can find anything on the web.

    Found it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shimizu_Mega-City_Pyramid

It is called the Shimizu Mega-City Pyramid and it would house 750,000 people. Unfortunately it is nowhere near a reality yet as it relies on futuristic building materials.

    1) There are several things I could call you but I'm sure you've heard it all before.
    2) There's more than enough money to do whatever they feel necessary.

    He's a businessman, not a politician.

Have you researched the matter and found that he's not helped poor people? I'd like to know if you've looked into the matter before making this claim.

You should seriously at the very least wiki Prince Waleed. His previous building (Kingdom Tower), has been attacked plent of times.

ALso, it isnt the poor people that end up forming terror cells.

Why do you turds have to turn everything into D&D
