Wait, unless my high school math is escaping me, isn't a mile = 5280 ft? So it's actually 0.99 mile-high tower, right? Can't they put a big needle at the top to make a whole mile?
On a side note, does anybody remember hearing about the mile high building that was proposed in Japan years ago? It was supposed to be over a mile high and larger than a mountain. I'll try to see if I can find anything on the web.
