OK, you guys have your opinions and I have mine. You think he is one of the greats and while I don't doubt his talent I believe he is overrated. You can say I'm wrong but it's my opinion and I am entitled to it just like you are entitled to your's. Neither of us can prove the other wrong. Let's see if he keeps it up over the year. It's the NFL, anything can happen.

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again; the Green Bay game means nothing. Pack were playing without Donald Driver(Pro-Bowler that year), Ahman Green(Pro-Bowler that year), Darren Sharper(Pro-Bowler that year), KGB(starting DE, 12 sacks that year), Chad Clifton(starting OT), Terry Glenn(starting WR), Mark Tauscher(starting OT), Gilbert Brown (starting DT), Joe Johnson(starting DE) for most, or all of the game.

 

Unless Brett Favre is on that injury list, that excuse means nothing to me.

 

The only guys that didn't play in that game on your LONG list were Darren Sharper, the offensive tackles, and Terry Glenn. Donald Driver actually caught a garbage time touchdown pass in that game, I know Green played but was basically a non-factor because they were down 20+ before half time. Vick had his best run of the night when he escaped a KGB sack, Joe Johnson probably didn't play but he wasn't a starter Holiday was. If anything they only missed the second half when the game was basically over, and besides, injuries are part of the game I'm sure Atlanta had injuries as well.

Despite the OTs, Sharper's and Glenn's injuries Green Bay was still favored heavily going into that game, and do you remember the season opener that year when the Falcons almost beat them in Green Bay? I think Vick got the confidence that the Falcons could beat Favre in Green Bay after that high scoring game that they lost in OT. It means a lot no matter the circumstances, Favre was still there, it was still below freezing on Lambeau Field, it was still the Packer's first home playoff loss ever I think, I know it was Favre's first home playoff loss.
