A few months ago I posted about our official release of the full version of Bluff Wars on both iOS and Android. The game is so much fun and our users love it! Mike Tyson gave us a little jolt today.:) If you like mobile games that are more social or just board games in general, download it http://onelink.to/ezeyky

No doubt this was a sponsored tweet. But it is extremely difficult to even pay a celebrity to tweet a smaller brand like ours or especially a mobile game. They have to still like it. Many passed, Mike Tyson and his team had some balls. Plus no one cared that it was a sponsored tweet. Similar to Charlie Sheen's famous Internship tweet.

Last month Adele turned down L'oreal for 12 million pounds.

I think the issue is more that you presented this as if a random celebrity independently on their own was promoting your game.

Whether they like it or not, being paid to market it clearly presents a different light on it. Moreover, a celeb does not have to like something to endorse it. Money talks.

I'm fine they paid to have sponsored tweets, but I wasn't cool with them trying to sell it off to CF that Mike Tyson just happened to like their game (before even installing it). I would have been more impressed if they said, "We got Mike Tyson to plug our game, maybe you could give it a shot?"

The internet prefers honesty over anything else.

Most of the celebrities that plug products with their tweets are b-celebs trying to cash in while they still can. People realize this, so I'm not even sure how successful these sorts of ads even are. Most people already know that only about 1 in 10 celebs are actually the ones tweeting, must are their publicists or "people" doing the tweeting - and it is obvious.

I'd love to here from the OP regarding the metrics. Cost vs. click vs. install vs. purchase. But I doubt that will happen.

Email me at tanviraman@yahoo.com and I'll send you the metrics of the campaign. We also had Ryan Butler(Justin Bieber's best friend) run a tweet about U.R.P. Underwear Recycling Program at the same time. We have an Absurd Acronyms category in the game.

Smh at Clutchfans... Don't hate, motivate. What's it matter how they pulled it off? I swear some of y'all would boo a four year old saying a speech at thier first Christmas play. Has to be miserable...

    Damn shame.
