man, i was just about to post the same thing. i've said this many a time: his name used to be synonymous with stupidity. biggest misconception ever. the guy is intelligent.
For anyone interested in Kid Dynamite's upbringing, the inner-workings of his highly complex, misunderstood brain, and, of course, his numerous legal issues, I highly recommend Tyson. Great film -- Tyson truly is an intelligent man, but he's mentally unstable and has a tripwire temper. One of the most interesting figures in the world of sports.
I like a man who will admit his mistakes and tell it how it is. I wish the best for him. He has made bad choices but a bad person he is not.
Definitely interesting. If he's trying to turn his life around, more power to him. His past is horrible and sad. Hope his future goes the way he's talking.
The new Mike Tyson can recoup his fame and money by being a comedic actor. I bet he could build off that role in "The Hangover". He could probably make a living just goofin off his crazy past. He might even be able to pull off comedy stand-up by doing imitations or parodies of himself. Who better to make fun of Mike Tyson than Mike Tyson?
I don't think you'd want to laugh at, let alone heckle, Mike in a live audience. But that's some deep stuff. He can do some country songs with that material.
More often than not, extreme intelligence and eccentricity go hand in hand. He's an artist with a sharp, analytical mind coupled with being a manic depressive, added with great talent in the form of boxing, why waste all that energy in being normal? Tyson feels things too deeply and understands the reality of his background... that there are millions of people trapped in the vicious cycle of the ghetto and there's nothing he can do to help them. His monologue on how he watches a woman pleasure herself before he devours her, like a lion watching his prey, is some of the finest verbal imagery of our generation. He's a brilliant artist at the end of the day, and unfortunately for most, that ends in more pain than pleasure.
That's bull****, there's plenty he can do, and plenty others who come from a similar background have done. If anything, Tyson's intelligence gives him more responsibility to control his actions than the average Artest type loon. Tyson has shown some very poor judgment in his life, the saddest thing is that he knows.
True, Tyson may be intelligent but he hasn't been wise. Those two are complete different things. Fortunately, intelligence and experience begets wisdom. It sounds like he really wants to turn his life around. Good for him.
gotta lot of respect for tyson, as far as that ghetto mentality, it just kinda sticks with you like a bad habit. kinda hard to kick it as dumb as it sounds. dont know how many times i heard friends say " i just stole these jordans, or i got this dummy ass fool for his car system. and so on." just sayin, ppl just cant and wont forget " the ghetto oh some one plz put a cartman video of him singin "in the ghetto"
your life cannot be a waste if you're the title character for one of the most iconic and beloved videogames of all time
