I'm assuming anyone that wants mike miller has amnesia of playoff hoops. Miller has sucked every yr in the playoffs. I'm talking 9ppg and 37%. Even when they played the suns, he avg 12ppg. Miller isn't a playoff performer.
Well he is on the Grizzlies who haven't won a single playoff game in their existence. He was th 1st or 2nd option on that team. In the playoffs, he will get shutout being that high of an option. But being the 3rd option and having the ability to create his own shot will allow him to have good numbers if he played here. Things change when you start playing on a winning team.
He was the second best player on those teams. It happens - he's not good enough to be the 2nd option on a contender. As our 3rd guy, with Scola also as a threat, he could be lethal. Mike Miller fits this team so well with his skillset that it's not even funny. It's hilarious that some here actually wouldn't want to trade for this guy.
stephen a smith just said miller being traded anywhere is unlikely.....on espn halftime of suns lakers game
Dont lump Novak and Francis into that group. If Miller were on this team, Novak would probably rarely see the floor. Miller can provide a similar outside shot, and Battier would be a better defender at the 4 then Novak is. Yao, Battier, Tmac, Miller, and Alston would provide outside shooting and decent rebounding as well as opposed to having Novak in there. Francis has given no reason to think he will be a main contributer this go round with the rockets and if including him in any deal to get a good player is needed, by all means do it. I cant imagine why anyone would rather include Brooks in a trade then Francis.
Brooks's name comes up because you have to give to get.Aaron has nice trade value on potential alone at this point and therefore is coveted.
i heard it..but he didnt say for sure...oh also sidenote...stephan a said that there is no way he thinks the kings would send artest to be in a nugget uniform...so hope for rockets?!?
Ya just speculation, but it just gets my hopes up higher...maybe thats not such a good thing after all
pau was the 1st option on a 49 win team . The fact that he sucked in orlando in the playoffs the did it again tells me he sux in crunchtime. Either u step up to the stage or u buckle.
Miller should be playing guard as Rockets as I believed he would be not happy behind Scola and Landry, hence Novak sharp shooting would still be useful as a back up PF. Furthermore, Miller lack of athletism and defensive skills may not suit to play PF. As for Francis, as far as I am concerned he contributed significantly when we got the win as Phoenix and when played in limited minutes and with rust. He only loss his contribution after the GSW injury then followed by his tendinitis. I would like to see more of him when he is healthy again before I think he is done. AB so far has not showed much of his ability to contribute significantly but he is still a rookie thus it's too early to judge him. Yet, so far he looked scared and shaky during play for many games and come off playoff this season, chances are he'll worse and looked more shaky. If Memphis wants him for Miller, I should not be too unhappy.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have a big versitile player like tim thomas that has played well in the playoffs at every spot? I'm talking real playoff hoops, not the rinky dink regular season stuff.
I'm looking at the boxscore from their game and Miller's name is not even on it. Seems like a deal has already been done.
