Why isn't Tracy leading us to more wins? Or Yao? They only make 5 times his salary. EDIT: I should also add your math is all farged up - if the Rockets had NO McGrady or Yao all season - I have NO doubt we'd have a much worse record than we do now (what is our percentage when missing both? It's between .000 and .200, no?), and certainly much worse than the Raptors. I'd be shocked if we had 5 wins, and the Rudy Gay/Adam Morrison jerseys would be printed.
How can you guys not like Mike James? He played his heart out for us and was a major part of our late season playoff run and winning streak last year. Some idiot poster made up the fact that "Tmac doesn't like Mike James" and then 75% of the bbs started hating the guy.
Damn that classless Mario Elie. Not only did he put a dagger through the Sun's heart, he had to add insult with that little kiss of death gesture of his.
Valid. My point is only this. Yes, James is having a good season. But let's not forget Alston also had a good season his last year in Toronto. James is a better scorer, but Alston put up more assists. Toronto also won at a higher clip with Alston. You could argue that Alston's Houston stats are better than James Houston stats. There are a lot of arguments...but they seem to be very similiarly talented players with the clear exception one is more of a score, on a passer. So, maybe you're right, maybe they would have won 2 or 3 more of those games with James. But I think yobod is equally correct. They could have just as easily lost the games against the Knicks or Bucks or whomever with James when everyone is healthy. I think we'd be worse off with James instead of Alston. Just my opinion.
I don't dislike him...I just don't see what we're missing out on just because he is having a good year on a losing Toronto team...That's what Rafer did last year, too.
there's no question that they would have been better with James when Tracy was out because of his shooting. James's three point shooting is in the top five I believe in the NBA. seriously, what does alston excel at? I was for the trade, but now I wonder if Alston's skill of play making is gonna be more important than James's skill of shot making. with tracy and Yao healthy, playmaking is really not needed from the other players. they just have to hit shots, rebound, defend. and defense is another thing james does better. i was for the trade, and I know alston has his moments like last night, but I'm starting to question that move for the long-term.
