Jamest is extremely fast and will probably the fastest player from baseline to baseline. I love the trade.
Very true. I remember a few time that Mike James bured the Rockets a few times. Just like Chucky Atkins, Luke Ridnour and Carlos Arroyos...just to name a few. James is quality guard. Nice pick-up!
Yep! Mike James reminds me of a PG verion of Fred Jones. Very athletic for his size. Very strong and quick. He shoots 44% FG and 38%3PT. And hovers around 1.5 TO per game (career).
You said a *pun* and didn't call it! IMO, James will start at PG and Sura will help at SG/bench and rest his *back* for the play-offs when the gloves come off!
when sura gets back he should and will be a starter. are record with him out there is excellent and i imagine his plus/minus has to be pretty high if not tops on our team. as good as mike james could be for us i don't think jvg is going to mess with what has been working. james will just be a monster back-up. anyways this was an excellent trade by cd. ever since the last milwaukee game when i really saw james' speed firsthand i've been wanting him on the roster. he's the PERFECT stop-gap until sura returns. he's capable of filling in as the starter and will have no ego about backing him up later.
totally agree..JVG won't want to mess up the chemistry. I like the starting lineup of Yao, HOward, Tmac, Wesley, and Sura. James will be great as temporary starter..and he will be great as a backup.
Iam glad the Rockets didt do that trade. As much as i like cassel, he seems to just be injury prone and is getting too old. Besides that would leave us with Mo/Spoon/Padgett at PF...not a pretty sight.
We will have to see how James plays. I am pretty sure Sura will get more minutes, but I am not sure if James won't start at the 1. He is a better outside shooter than Sura. Sura on the other hand is more creative and can create openings for lesser players, maybe give him the freedom to run the 2nd team with Jon Barry as his compadre. Think of Kenny/Cassell of 95. That may be what we want from James/Sura, except both of the latter guys are MUCH better defenders though each a notch (or two) below offensively. Of course the 95 pair had Dream and Horry to cover their mistakes, we needed better defense from the current pair.
Hamilton was waived. Can someone tell me exactly what happens when a team waives a player? Do they buy out his contract? Hamilton has a contract for about 750K this year. Do the Rox just give him that? I assume that when a player's waived he can immediately play for another team. Is that right?
When a player is waived, his salary still counts toward the cap until his contract is over. That player also becomes a Free Agent. Correct me if i'm wrong.
LOL! Is the clutch.net finally turning into a p*rn site? BTW, great moves by the Rockets, and CD deserves to be in the race for GM of the year. He deserved it.
So 4 the upteenth time, who starts the To CD with Love Thread so all you folks can eat crow and stuff ?
