point gaurd - one who distributes the ball, not one who thinks he is michael jordan and drives it in every damn freaking play, especially when TMAC is on the floor, or when you have a man running with you on the fast break. He cant pass worth crap. He scores, yes, good, yes, but only for 20 minutes, and that too ONLY when TMAC is resting, otherwise we dont need his sorry scrubfaced self to be jacking up shots like he's iverson.

There is no reason in hell Mike James needs to start. For all I care, I think we need to get rid of the guy. He thinks he can take over ball games when we have our two top scorers on the court ( McGrady and Yao). James might provide 20 point games sporadically, but when it counts, the guy doesn't seem to be in the same building as everyone else. In game 7 of the playoffs, I noticed James try to drive the ball in to the paint against 4 Mavs and get blocked each time. He is a selfish player and has an attitude problem whenever someone tries to correct his mistakes on the court. He needs to go. We need to pick up a taller shooting guard that can provide us with some defensive help along with a little scoring on the offensive side. **** Mike James!

Mike James is the only guy on our team that can create his own shot besides tmac and yao and that is something that our team really lacks. Also, how do u know he has attitude problems when someone tries to correct his mistakes?

I'm a huge Pistons fan as well and have been watchin Mike James since his acquisition by the Pistons.

I was a big fan of Mike James, but not anymore.

He has always been a valuable asset to his team. He's valuable for his scoring and tenacious defense...that's why people like him. But he lacks the ability to run an efficient offense. He lacks the ability get other teammates involved. And he lacks to ability to make sound judgements on the court.

I do have to admit that he is coachable, b/c under the Larry Brown system, he gave up the ball much more willingly and much earlier in the shot clock.

Why does he continually drive the lane only to result in a turnover?

Why does he choose to create his own shot and not dump the ball into the low post when Yao has good positioning and flashes for the ball?

Why does he have more shot attempt than T-Mac whenever he takes the ball up?

Answer those and you'll know why Mike James--although valuable--comes off the bench; and why he should stay coming off the bench.

When I say Mike James "creates his own shots", I dont mean he just jacks up shots, but that he is the only guy on the team besides tamc/yao that can score at a relatively high fg% when he is on...and he can do this a lot more often than bob sura can...this should have been pretty evident in game 6

so you look at one damn game and you think hes super james?

obviously you havnt watched his FG% tank in the other 4 games of the playoffs. Nor did you see the selfish ball hogging, or the turnovers.

    high fg%, lol, good one.
