Right now I will really look hard at starting Mike James. I say this because it is obvious that Sura is not healthy - it looks like the flu has really affect3ed him especially in the rebounding and defensive areas.

Game 7 is a game we can defnitely use Mike James inputs especially early. We cannot start slow in that game and expect to win it. I would prefer if we start Bowen and James in that game and take it from there.

But if we must start Sura, put him on the off guard and have iron man, Wesley, guard the point.

Mike James is our Bobby Jackson.
A team's sixth man is usually the third important player of the entire team.

In other words, being a backup player coming off the bench does not necessarily mean less of an impact on the game than a starter.

Sura hasn't played that well, but man I loved the retaliation on Josh Howard.

MJ is the reason we won today.

If he didn't go on his offensive spurts in the second quarter, TMac would not have had the chance to rest up for the second half.

MJ is a very streaky player and he doesn't know when to give it up. But tonight, he was golden. :)

He is our spark off the bench, the instant offense when TMAC needs a breather.

Mike James is just not a starter-type player. He needs too much of the ball. He dribbles too much. He does too much for himself instead of involving others.

He's great off the bench. Give him a starting birth and 40 minutes, and you'll be cursing his name.

then again, Mike James was a hound on defense during game 6. He was practically running half circles around Terry when he is driving up court. James really was the reason why Terry had to pass the ball off so often while in past games, he'll drive it in without fear. I believe those steals that James made early was still settling on his mind.

At any rate, you can't change your starting lineup now, ... at least not the Pg position. Sura does run the offense better, but he needs to find a way to keep up on defense against a quicker player. I hope James will continue his hot shooting and tenacious defense!

How many times did James pass the ball once he got it in the half court? Once? Twice? Start him at point guard? Please...

You cannot start Mike "Francis".....err uhm I mean James :)

He brings energy off the bench which the team needs, he is a streaky player and tends to try and do to much with the ball.
Last night it went in our favor but look in the last three games where it went against us.

Did anybody see T-Mac telling him to give up the ball and then the next time down the court he started to go like normal and then saw T-Mac and then all of a sudden slowed up and gave the rock to T......:D

I agree. Every team needs a mad dog type who never gives up. Not only did the guy fire up the team with steals and points when Yao and even T-Mac seemed a bit down, you could see from his demeanor that he was getting in his teammates faces and rallying them, too.

Welcome to Madmax II or Young Sam Cassell II.

He does try to do too much, but that is better than trying to do too little and there is hope that he can turn it down a bit.

    James is a keeper.

Here is the thing, It became the Mike James offense, and the Mavs still had no answer. The other 4 rockets were just running around. I'm not a big fan of it, but hey, if nobody can stop it, keep on running it.

The Rockets have gotten to the point they are like Larry Anderson. I'm going to throw sinker, sinker, sinker, sinker, sinker, sinker, sinker, and let you try and hit it.

The Rockets have 2 plays now. Mike James and T-Mac Pick n Roll. That's pretty much it. But hey, until someone stops it.

Still, that's one more play than the 94 Rockets team ran. Seemed to work out OK for them.

I'd object to the Mike James offense less if he passed the ball as much as McGrady.

I was thinking last night that with James hounding Terry, it made JT concentrate on keeping possession, as opposed to running the offense or looking for defensive breakdowns to attack.

Something I have noticed most of the series against Dallas:

Don't give them anything easy. And in the middle 3 games they were getting lots of easy shots, from all over the court.

I hope Mike James starts next season, unless we get some big name PG.
