not too surprised to see mike james lost his starting position, i never liked that guy's attitude. I"m happy that rox didn't get him last year. He asked too much ... he had a great half season with a crappy team, that doesn't mean he is that great.

HA! I was waiting for somebody to finally get irony in my sig. Yeah, I think it's time that I changed it. I don't think SamFisher needs me to give him a hard time...that's DaDakota's job now. :)

Trust me, you do NOT want me posting in GARM again. I'd make that post by SamFisher look like a passage out of a Joel Osteen book.

i don't see anything wrong with his attidude. if a player doesn't play to be a starter, then he probably has motivation issues.

what i would be worried about is his age. is he starting to lose his game?

C'mon guys, you can't seriously want to trade for Mike James with V-Span as a trade bait? V-Span ain't do nothing right now but he has potential to become a good player. Plus, Mike had the chance to sign with us in the off season and he chose not to. It was not a money thing because Houston offered the same MLE deal to get him. I refuse to take this traitor back. Keep him in Minny coming off the bench so it can remind him of the mistake he made over some bull crap "trade kicka". Funny this is, I bet he wouldn't mind getting traded out of Minnesota now.

Bottom line is he won't start here, and eventually will disrupt our chemistry. As much as I think we need another PG, we don't need one who is full of himself. He'd be nice as a spark off the bench and an emotional leader (especially if we could get him for Spanoulis and Sura), but there's a high risk involved.

Definitely a tough call for CD and company if he's available.

should have took the offer when he had it. It's not out fault he chose not to play for a contender. He pulled a "beltran" on us. screw him.

(and I really liked MJ, until that)

Mike James was never really a good fit in Minnesota. He always looked lost and never in a groove. Ricky Davis and James just dont seem to mesh in the backcourt.

I think the entire reason they got James was so he could be their new "Sam Cassell" and bring fire and energy to the team. But he just hasn't do that for whatever reason.

You have to wonder why they pursued James since they just recently drafted Randy Foye. It was only a matter of time before Foye took the starting job.

For a while it looked like Jaric was the one guard to be moved but he appears to be getting decent backup minutes. Hudson has seen no time, I am sure he is more than available. And I bet Mike James is more available now.

AND, don't forget, Rashad McCants just came back and he is starting to get minutes at the backup 2guard spot.

There just isn't enough minutes for Foye, Davis, Jaric, Hudson and now McCants.

The one thing he can do is score and get his own shot, something we obviously have a lack of at the moment. I think it's at least worth looking into...

    f mike james.

trade kicker if he's traded out of minny, right? So I don't see it happening.. i wouldn't want him at the new, upped figure.

couldn't be happier about this. his damn mememe attitude is getting screwed. it's karma

Where are the 85% of this board who was screaming for months that the rockets screwed themselves by trading James and then again by not re-signing him in the offseason? (I hoped we'd get him this offseason...but when we didn't, I didn't care...cause I only wanted him to back up rafer)

i just don't understand why anyone says Mike James is a "risk" to chemistry. Did Bonzi do anything to JVG's team chemistry? That was the same argument about Bonzi.

no one role player is going to win a chemistry battle with JVG...that's one of the things that makes him so great as a coach. Have a little faith in JVG.

If he wants James (and I bet he does), then I want James. make it happen.

btw: does anyone else chuckle at the thought of Teen Wolf Spanoulis playing with Garnett. "I was Garnett in Europe."

    You don't want Hudson's contract.

And we have McCants already in Luther Head. After the microfracture McCants had, you can bet he lost a ton of athleticism and is pretty much a jump shooter now.

There's got to be a reason he keeps burning bridges everywhere he goes and no one seems to make an effort to keep him (either trading or not resigning the guy).

No to Mike James. He had his chance to be here, I say go after Chucky Atkins instead.

Yet the Rockets had him and were back begging at his door 9 months later.

I'm down with getting Chucky Atkins, but he's a buy-high acquisition. He's playing out of his mind lately -- not sure how much Memphis' style is impacting his numbers.

Mike James is a potential buy-low addition.
