Y'all need to stop crying a river. It's done with, we have Alston... they have James. Mad at this team? Do something about it. If you think our future is dim because of this one trade, get a new team so you can bandwagon them too.

If McGrady's back was predicted as a problem, then our issue is not about a player like James or Alston. Neither of these players would lead us to championship without McGrady. So the debate would be moot.

I totally agree about the lack of foresight in depending heavily on aging players and getting rid of shooters like Padgett. I am still fuming about not re-signing Padgett. But that has nothing to do with trading James. We needed someone to replace Sura. Sura's role on the team was not scoring but play making. James's role was very different from Sura's, and he was not his replacement.

When I talked about hindsight, I was mainly thinking about Barry and Anderson. Anderson's acquisition was supposed to add a competent scorer. They obviously thought that with Anderson on board, together with Barry, they were adequate for filling the hole left by James's departure.

Gee and I thought we were having a pretty good discussion. I personally did not witness any crying, just people who love this team and enjoy talking about it on a forum made for "talking about this team" even when we have different opinions about the coach and the players.

So do you have any other guidelines for us to follow on this forum that we are not aware of? I'd hate to violate one of your rules.

Hey, wait a minute! Clutch runs this forum! :D
