you know what else is funny that mike james took almost 300 more shots than chris bosh in that season
doesnt matter that season was a fluke how is the pg gonna shoot almost 300 more shots than the best player on the team
Not unlike the spectacular season Rafer led them to right, or the spectacular season he gave us in 2006? By this hastily constructed logic the Rockets made a mistake to trade Francis for McGrady in 2004 becauae the Magic had a horrible record in a bad conference. Pathetic. Apology accepted. If he was the best player on the team how come he couldn't shoot better than a perimeter player? He's a freaking power forward.
rockets won more games than toronto without t-mac,yao,derek anderson, rafer, stromile playin much games and when the team was together they won 50 games
So last year people b*&ch about the team's inability to create own shots besides tmac and that no one steps up when the 2 stars are cold/heavily guarded. And now we have people b*&ching about players we brought in to solve that exact same problem?
they were 33-49 with Rafer. Obviously there is more to it than one player but if you are trying to prove Mike James is a better player through this display of stat ramming I'm afraid you have come up a little short. As to the apology - I don't owe you one Sam. And if you knew what the hell you were talking about you would know a little more of where that comes from. But please, don't let me stop you from proving your depth of knowledge.
this is a motion offense so they will be cuts coming from all over the place so really no one is really gonna create
Edit: this is fun, it is like when you were kids and you would take your little brother and grab his arm and make him hit himself and yell "stop hitting yourself! stop hitting yoruself"
Point taken. I thought of this before I posted but still I failed to make my point clear. What I was trying to say is that this team needs a guy with no conscience shooting the ball. We have some great scorers but I truly believe Mike James is the only one who can take and miss 15 shots but be positive the 16th one will be nothing but net. Some nights that attitude will have him riding the bench early but other nights I think that attitude will get this team a W.
I think the misunderstanding is when and how to use those players and what their strengths are. I believe Mike James is going to be very good for us off of the bench for the same reasons I don't feel he would be the best choice as a starter.
i just feel james gives us the best chance to win from the PG position. all i know is if you play with tmac/yao, u need to know how to shoot and know how to finish when u drive. james is the best at both out of the 3 PGs that we have.
i dont understand all the punctuation hate If by "almost 300" you mean "141", then yeah, you're right. Of course Mike James played in 9 more games than Chris Bosh. That reminds me -- did you know that the Rockets point guard took almost 2,000 more shots than Michael Jordan last year? Of course that's nonsense. Take your pick:

The Rockets were 1-8 in 2005-06 when Rafer Alston played and both Yao and T-Mac were out.
(The lone win was the Kiss Brandon Roy Goodbye game in Denver, though Rafer did his part)
The Rockets were 7-23 in 2005-06 when Rafer Alston played and T-Mac atleast was out.
The Rockets were 6-14 in 2005-06 when Rafer Alston played and Yao atleast was out.
The Rockets were 6-3 in 2005-06 when Yao and T-Mac played and Rafer Alston was out.
The Rockets were 18-7 in 2004-05 in games when Mike James played with Yao and T-Mac.

first of all i was speaking of last season winning 50 games and as i recall i remember the rockets winning many games when rafer,t-mac,yao played together and what does michael jordan have to do with anything but i guess a basketball expert like yourself would love for a pg to shoot more shots than any other player on the team
To prevent any further embarrassment, Clutch was referring to 141 additional shots over 9 additional games. That comes to a marginal 15.7 FGA/game for Mike James in games Bosh didn't play. Hardly extraordinary for a guy averaging 20 ppg. Both Bosh and James averaged 15.5 FGA/game on the year. Deservedly so; James was every bit as efficient a scorer as Bosh was that year.
