At this point, I wouldn't even mind too much if we lost Landry...knowing a hardworking Harris is lurking in the wings.

I love Harris, but they have a different skill set

To say Harris is better than Luther is like saying Patrick Ewing is better than Reggie Miller. They did different things, filled certain needs.

Harris brings all the elements weneed. especially if landry bolts, harris would be an ideal nd or rd string backup. he's size or the lack of it will allways hinder he's chances, but he's hustle and heart will more then makeup for it.

To add to what you're saying, DD, a lot of people don't realize just how much NBA teams practice or how important that practice is. Having someone around who IS that tenacious and WILL try that hard will only improve the execution of the rest of the team. THis team's B-unit -- Brooks, Barry, Battier, Harris, and Hayes (nice alliteration!) -- is a team I think we would've been quite happy to see on the floor in the Stevie Franchise days. Even if Harris and Hayes never see the floor due to re-signing Landry and Deke, simply having them for practice each day gives the Rockets an edge.

Luther can't play defense, doesn't rebound, doesn't shoot the 3 in the playoffs. He's more like Ryan Bowen.

sir my comment to what you have to say is this..............PURE STUPID!

    luther can't **** worth a $hit and chuck can't score a lay up worth a $hit.

atleast harris has some power and a shot.

    how so?
if barry is on the floor he will be on the wings, so you can call him a SF, SG, or a PG.

LOL to the comment that I got pwnd

Anyways I understand that harris gives it his all but his all aint enough. He cant shoot the 3, he aint quick, he doesnt really play over the rim and hes a tweener. I'll take hayas and luther cause they both have talents we need.
Luther has the three and quickness.
    Hayas has defense and rebounding.
    Harris has none of these...

    insurance to what?
we already have 14 guys on roster and we still have to sign deke and landry.
The question is not Pat burke or mike harris
its harris, luther or hayas....one will not be here for sure

So Luther/Hayes play above the rim?!? When Luther's 3-point shot is on, he's a definite asset but most of the time it's not and Hayes has no offensive skills.
