d'antoni would be a better fit in minny than he would in new york. Adelman is a perfect fit for new york. I'd be a win-win.

    I agree with this.

They'd actually be a decent team, even playoff seeded team.

Rondo would actually be an engine for a team like that, put him with athletic demons, like Beasley; Randolph; and Johnson, then with work hound like Love. He'd have a decent amount of pretty good finishers on his team, while this crew would be much younger than his current Celtics crew.

I don't think you can say that the numbers are inflated because, regardless of whether or not the player makes the basket, he still made the assist. It would be better to say that other point guards are having their assists deflated because their teammates aren't finishing.

By and by, Rondo is a good player. He's still young and can improve his shooting. Of course, that might be to his disadvantage because, in my opinion, Rondo passes and rebounds so well because the opposing guard is always so far off him. That allows him to crash the boards and have a better view of the floor without pressure on the ball.

Rondo wasn't terrible his first year. He couldn't shoot, but they knew that already.

As for first-year top-tier guards that started slowly, there was this 2-time MVP PG that was a nobody for the first 4 years of his career. There is also this guy who couldn't shoot the ball worth a damn for most of his career that led his team of role players at best to back to back NBA finals appearances.

I'm guessing he'll still play a lot better than Bosh.

Actually he proved to be the weak link that contributed to their loss in the Finals last year. Bryant didn't even have to guard him. In fact he guarded every other Celtic but Rondo.
