Leslie hires men who can impress and have some of that schwung in them. JVG energy had it, Rick's ruler had it, McHale's shoulders had it and D'antoni's coup has it!
Well, the news here to me is not that D'Antoni is being hired but that Morey is going to be there too. Guess he's off the hot seat temporarily.
Will Daryl Mauri be there to announce his latest hand picked coach hire after an extensive coaching search much like he did with McFail?
There is a difference between being off the hot seat and an owner and coach that hope to turn their GM into a puppet that does what the owner and his shiny new toy wants. There are no open GM jobs, and Daryl has a family that is very used to Houston and really don't want to move. It will be interesting to see how far down the rabbit hole Daryl will go, and whether he is able to get himself back into the good graces of Les. Thus far, Daryl has handled the ego of Les better than anyone else in the organization.
