    Morey wants JVG (or at least supports him)
    Morey called for defensive improvement above all else after the season

    yet Morey wants D'Antoni?

    Nah, this is Leslie. Leslie was intrigued years ago and remains intrigued today. Old posters will tell you.

    Not saying Daryl has no interest at all but very doubtful he'd be his first candidate.

    Dantoni is probably my last choice for coach. I would rather have us hire a complete unknown. Heck I'd almost rather have JB back than Danton

    Morey gave McHALE's name as one of two final candidates. My impression was that Les wanted McHale but Morey preferred the other candidate.

    Interviewing MDA and feigning serious interest in him as a head coaching candidate would be an excellent way to make sure Dwight opts out, wouldn't it?

    :eek::cool:

    D'Antone has yet to find another Nash, even when he had the latter day original in La-La-Land.

    My simple question is: does D'Antoni still have any gravitas with the players? Reality 101 is, as JET (sorta) said, the coach's gravitas is greatly consequential (or words to that effect, anyway).

    letting DHo know opt-in = trade out to team of Rox choice is all the incentive required IMO.

    Leslie would be very very dumb to hire D'Antoni after Rockets have been bad defensively. Yet they are looking to hire offensive minded coach while defense was so bad. What a joke, man. It's like Leslie lose his memory what happened this season.

    There's no trade market for a $23 million expiring contract. Rockets want him to opt out so they have options. Doesn't mean they want him to leave just yet. They want the cap flexibility to have more options to work with.
