This is an excellent thread to end what's been a (personally) ****ty day. I might as well go to bed now before I get hit by a jet engine or something. Goddamnit! D'Antoni is the opposite of what we need here.

D'Antoni is a good talker. We all knew that. This will probably be there 2nd "Official" Interview, but D'Antoni had already been spotted in Houston couple days after his initial interview. Lionel Hollins as assistant?

Stein's article says a strong defensive coach working as a defensive coordinator would be brought in with D'Antoni. I wouldn't hate that, honestly, assuming the defensive coach was strong. We'll see, though. Would still rather have JVG + offensive assistants.

    Strong defensive assistant.

Yeah, and McHale will surround himself with strong Xs and Os coaches.:rolleyes:

    **** off Les.

Maybe this is a chance to install a coach who might attract these Euro stashes to come play for the Rockets.

I don't know. Leslie Alexander should get out of his own f***ing way. He gave Kevin McHale a three-year extension and then signed off on s***-canning him 11 games into the deal.

I might be misremembering this, but I think a former player of Pringles stated they practically never heard the word "defense" at practice, let alone worked on it or approached it with any kind of seriousness.

Les: "Do you promise to kiss my ass?"

    D'Antoni: "Will you wash first?"

Les: "Probably......Maybe. I might forget, though."

D'Antoni: (after long pause) "But just on the cheek, though? Not in the crack?"

    Les: "Hey, I'm not unreasonable."

    D'Antoni: "Okay, then."

If this happens Les has no ambition to win a championship at all. I couldn't think of a worse option that D'Antoni. Blow it up if he comes, James is off.

I don't want to see Pringles roaming the sideline as our HC, maybe sitting on the bench as offensive coordinator.

Of course, Les being Les, he will probably hire him to spite us all. That's what he seems to like doing.

There you go Morey hater, keep hating the front desk guy while the boss keeps manipulating bad decisions in the background.

It's time for Les to sell the team. He's obviously becoming senile.

Morey should just put a group together and buy the Rockets...Les just doesn't understand the game...i mean, WTF!? We had a terrible defensive year, without leadership from the bench and he wants to sign D'Antoni as head coach? This must be a joke.

Mike D'Antoni is such an offensive genius that mere news of him getting a second interview has offended 90% of the fans posting in this thread.

I will start becoming a Les hater if he makes this hire. I've never been on the Les hate bandwagon, but this would do it.

D'Antoni did own JVG during the Phoenix Suns vs Rockets head to head.

Maybe Les makes sense here with Dantoni, could Van Gundy stop the elite teams or the playoff teams in the West. Boozer and company ripped our hearts out. The refs screwed us in Dallas. The Utah game stings we should have won guys we were at home.
