20 games in to season and your offense is third in the league. It's only going to get better as the season goes on.
If they keep playing with this effort they are playing right now for the rest of the season, Mike D'Antoni should be up there for Coach of the year. Also, how come nobody is talking about how underrated Trevor Ariza is? I think Ariza is one of the most underrated players today.
His defense is really good. Last year I was a little bit disappointed with his D, but this year he's regained his form. Oh and shoots decently from 3. Solid 3&D player.
In our starting lineup, the first two to be replaced for upgrades should be Bev and then Ariza. Both their replaces are already here actually, Gordon and Dekker. Dekker needs a little more time to make Ariza a bench player, but he is getting there with his overall play and consistency. Ariza is more streaky now, although I still like him and hope we keep him to come off the bench.
I told all you people when the papa pringles hire happened that the team was going to be a joy to. making team basketball awesome again, which after harden's first year slowly evaporated. Team basketball is how we threw daggers at those warriors back in 2012-2013. Assists, hockey assists with more assists upon assists. Ok well not quite there yet but we rank 5th with the spurs in assist ration.! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I think Bzdelik deserves major props too, and MDA deserves major props for allowing the defensive philosophy to mesh with his offense. It's harder to have this team playing top 15 defense than it is to get this team to play top 5 offense right?
Morey found us more gold, but give D'Antoni a lot of credit for the win and deserves Coach Of The Year. He gave the Rockets a win by telling Lou Williams to play against Pelican instead of not playing which was Lou's mindset before this game. Cousins and Davis had all-star type numbers for this game yet D'Antoni team smoked them. The Rockets were coming off a bad loss to the Heat, in this game I think we forgot that game already.
I think you could look at: Scott Brooks, Dwane Casey, Brad Stevens also. I also think Pops is the coach of the year every year. Even Fizzdale has a claim to it because the grizzlies have had (along with the clippers) the most injuries to deal with this season.
