    Shouldn’t have killed morale
Morale is the job of the coach and best player

Considering we had no one to replace him. How do you replace 31 minutes of production with 0 practices finding out he’s out minutes before game 3.

Should have played more players in the regular season so they can prepare for situations like this oh well
    Goodbye 7 man rotations

Look at that roster. Our cheap owner won’t let us trade for players. We can only trade for Luxury Tax savings. Who would you have played?

And how would they have helped? We picked most of them up off the buyout bin at the deadline. We got lucky with Jeff Green. I was hopeful for DMC but he looked lost.

yes, when i dropped a realistic thread about the lack of defensive adjustments costing us a series.

I didn't think this would end the current state of the Rockets as we know it

always root for the Rockets, but don't ever be blind to the obvious

This right here. When the owner is willing to spend only on 7 quality players and fill the rest of the roster out with minimum wage workers he picked up at a home depot in the back of his truck, then a coach is forced to play his best hand when it matters the most. Can't complain of a 7 man rotation when there are only 7 players worth a damn on payroll. The owner also wants to win the games during regular season too for better seeding so what's a coach to do?
We want two way players that can hit the consistent three and play strong defense.. it isn't cheap. Especially when the whole league is looking for them. No one is also coming to Houston to play for cheap just so they can live in the city of Houston. Those Landry Vouchers are not enticing enough and buying a mansion that might get destroyed by a hurricane is not appealing.

It wasn't lack of defense that lost the Lakers series, Rockets actually held Lakers to lowest average score of entire postseason.
