Not that they are good, but you've now made 2 threads comparing them to great players. Rudy Gay and Mike Conley are not great. They are good. Accept this.
I really like Conley's game. I think he and George Hill are too very solid PGs. Fantastic on D. Do their jobs on offense.
No. Anytime you get defensive about the Grizzlies the first thing you do every time is insult the Rockets out of nowhere. It's your defensive mechanism. Keep in mind that this is a Rockets BBS filled with Rockets fans. Also you claims are just simply irrational. I get having pride about your team don't get so touchy when non-Grizzlies fans don't agree. If you wanted that, post it on a Grizzlies BBS.
Why aren't people like this banned from this forum for "trolling"? They aren't even Rockets Fans. This is a Rockets Fans website, isn't it? Makes you wonder, this "What" guy really spends his time and energy posting junk on a rival teams website...and must have allot of time on his hands. Does he do the same to Lakers fan pages, or Knicks, etc...? Does the guy have a job or any other priorities?
I think what you don't understand about my statements, especially this one, is that Mike Conley is a throwback player, in an era when people value other things. People are in AWE of Westbrook's scoring and athletic ability, Conley is a TRUE point guard who is playing fantastic basketball right now. You don't have to go for 30 to be considered great at what you do. Sam Cassell having Wall watch Mike Conley last year in the playoffs. Also, here is how you and I differ, who probably think is is ludicrous to suggest that John Stockton was a better pg than Magic, but that's what I believe. Stockton was the consummate pg.
that might be stretching it... he has the points/rebounds/assists close enough but I can't see him bridging that gap unless he spends the offseason in convincing enough people he is the next messiah and getting enough worshipers.
