I agree. I mean he's the best fit because his style is what made Nash so good. I think it'll be great for the Lakers imo.

As much of an incompetent coach Mike Brown is, he didn't deserve this. He should've been given some time to work things out. Wouldn't mind if McHale is fired early though, at least Brown tried to implement an offensive system. Yes it was the consensus that the offense didn't fit the personell but he was never the right coach for this team to begin with.

But its that style and Nash leading thats been proven is not good enough to win.

Why do all this to put your 39yo pg in the best position?

They are going to be a fun highlight type team like the Clippers but once Kobe realizes all the alley oops and fun doesnt do **** against the big time teams, he's gonna flip on D'antoni and the Lakers will have a huge meltdown again..

Nash already knows D'Antoni's system...the Lakers are trying to minimize the time it takes to implement another coach's system...Kobe Bryant and D'Antoni are lifelong friends due to that Italy connection....a D'Antoni hire makes a ton of sense, really.

i disagree with that. no one knew how to play defense, but now lakers have dwight howard and pau's crappy defense is still 10x better than amare.

The opposite message phenomena I dont think is unique to LA or the Lakers. What is perhaps more true of LA/Lakers than most however is their reaction quotient. If this were happening in NO or Cleveland say, the drama would have been less intense and the situation would have likely panned out longer. Possibly long enough for a different resolution. The "energy" or "atmosphere" in LA is such that boiling pots tend to explode faster than most places. The different laws of physics in LA drew the buzzards to the road kill too fast for remedies to have any chance to take hold.

What the hell were the Lakers thinking when they hired Mike Brown in the first place? He has no business being the head coach of any NBA team.
