That was exactly my first thought! I'd love to take his nearly $15 Mil salary in 2008 and spread that around 3-4 players that would be willing to take 1 year deals between $4-5 mil per! You could pluck two pitchers and two position players and be set!!

we cannot lie to police (police of all levels federal to local) but they can lie to us.

    its a total double standard

I think it has something to do with selling the electorate on change while planning to recreate the Clinton administration, but I could be wrong.

    That mad me laugh... :D

Not sure if we can void his contract, but that is interesting...It's a shame and I'm sure there are more guys out there who are about to be exposed...

the key with tejada is he is accused of lying saying he did not know other player who used. I actually can respect that.

As vehemently as I disagreed with you on the other thread, I'm completely with you here.

Part of a plea agreement I think. He's basically accused of not being honest about another player's usage, because the evidence suggests he purchased his own drugs from that player. The feds are trying to get to the suppliers. They cut a deal with Tejada, but the obvious logical step from this is that he was using.

Oswalt was talking about how all steroid users numbers should be erased, and that they are cheating the game. Wonder if there will be any lockerroom tension with him and tejada now.

he also said, in the same article, that tejada is one of the best teammates he's ever had and how much he enjoys being around him.

I don't see why. If he's not roiding up anymore, he's of no use to us. This is a prime example where Tejada NEEDS steroids. There must be a petition sent out at once!

For future reference, I own suckers on message boards. Don't get those panties twisted until you know that I know the facts ESPN always supplies to me.

    Tard.

Tejada has a bad contract but he wasn't terrible last year. He is what he is, will not take a walk, but will get a lot of hits. He is 100x better than Adam Everett.

He is still a good player for us to have, I would take A-Rod too if the Yankees don't want him anymore.

In other news, the Houston Astros are officially changing their name to the Houston Astroids. ;)

I also don't count the two playoff runs we made when Clemens and Pettitte were on the team. As far as I'm concerned, we're still a team that hasn't won a playoff series. It sucks but that's the way it is (at least, for my line of thinking). Those tainted fockers...especially Clemens.

All the teams were juiced up and dont even think about discounting those teams b/c the 98 team was great and got shut down by one pitcher

It's not like either really helped the team in the playoffs anyways. First year Pettite was injured and the second year Clemens had broken down. I remember Oswalt and Lidge owning the Cardinals and Pujols (except for one pitch). I remember Backe, the only time he was ever clutch. I remember Kent and Burke and Ausmus and Bruntlett and Beltran. I remember Biggio and Bagwell giving each other a hug and walking non-nonchalantly onto the field like the consummate professionals they always were after the team clinched. But honestly, I don't remember Pettite and Clemens all that much during the playoffs.

Hell Clemens didn't even win too many of his starts during his time here because the team never scored...talk about some bad karma.
