Boozer is miles ahead of Yao
Now I know "miles ahead" can refer to a very close or even a NEGATIVE distance.

I believe that was the All Star game MVP. AFAIK, you aren't allowed to 'split' the regular season MVP. It can only go to one player.

As far as Yao being MVP goes, tis too early IMO. If he keeps continues to perform well and the team continues to win, I am sure he'll be in the running, but a clear picture on that won't emerge until after the all star break anyway.

I think the "making your teammates" better is used a little too much. It should be "make your TEAM better". I doubt Hakeem or Moses ever made any one of his teammates a better player. Getting the ball the open man doesn't really improve that open man's abilities as a basketball player - it moreso creates a better opportunity for the team to score a basket.

    Yeah you're right. Boozer?

I think a good barometer to use is to just decide which player you would draft first if you were building a new team for just one season.

Boozer or Yao? I think all 30 GMs would pick Yao.

There are several players I would pick ahead of Yao - but not many. 26/10/2 vs lotsa double-teams is pretty damn solid.

I don't see how T-Mac isn't in these MVP talks.

He doesn't have phenomenal numbers right now, but you guys know how much we suck without him.

You guys know he runs our offense, gets sick assists, DOES make the young players better by giving them wide open looks all night long. Not to mention keeping Yao going with some nice assists.

agreed. however, i tihnk yao is still more important to this team. therefore, he gets the MVP talk.

numbers aren't everything. look at steve nash. in 2 MVP seasons, he only managed ONE player of the month award. he wins MVP because of his value to his team. that's what tmac has going for him right now. if he can keep his numbers where they are, and just improve his ppg he would be in the mix as well.

By the end of the season, without any injuries, the race will be a three horse race, mark my words, Dirk, Yao Ming and Le Bron.
