Washington and Tj are a couple of my favorite revolutionaries, things they believed in would be considered dangerous by the gop. In fact, many gop politicians would be tarred and feathered . Then again, things Jesus believed in are too" radical" for the gop, which is insulting due to the fact that they like hiding behind scripture.
kellyanne tries to complain that the media is ignoring her republican woman of color candidate... until it comes out that the candidate has been refusing to talk to the press and has closed her events to the public...
Governors will probably look a whole lot different soon. https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...-likely-to-make-big-gains-in-governors-races/ That could be good news for the Dems longer term for a healthy farm system for future POTUS candidates. I really like governors as POTUS candidates in general.
A couple things. One is that it is the trend for more Republicans to vote early than Democrats. The important factor here, and one that I have not seen reported, is how many more Democrats are voting early now than has been typical. Two is that rumblings are a great many Republicans are unhappy with the direction their party has taken, and are responsible enough to vote for some kind of checks again in what was designed to be a check and balance system of government. Which is to say, don't count on those early voting Republicans to all vote Republican.
How would they know party affiliation of the voters in Texas when we don’t register for a party here?
Thanks for the input. Why do you feel Republicans feel that way when Trump has historically high approval among Republicans?
Reminds me of 2008 when some here were freaking out about black youths doing those fancy dance moves on stage. They need some new plays.
"Bannana Republic tactics" is the best description I've found for Kemp's tactics. What an embarrassment.
You don't register as one or the other, though. You just can't vote in the other primary. I'm guessing those numbers are coming from exit polling, which isn't very good during early voting. What @quikkag said is correct, too. Those numbers don't tell anywhere near the whole story.
Seriously. WHO THE F*** LIVES IN THE IOWA 4TH? Either it's the most politically apathetic district in the country...or it's the most racist district in the country. Rep. Steve King says he hopes Supreme Court Justices Sotomayor and Kagan ‘will elope to Cuba’ I think one of 2 things happens to King. Either his district finally gains some measure of sanity and votes this f***Ing pig out OR he disgustingly wins again and the next Congress expels him.
I don't have numbers. Honestly, I don't think anyone has reliable numbers because of how polls are presently conducted and how different demographic groups respond or avoid the current channels. I am seeing and hearing many traditional Republicans, with traditional conservative values, absolutely appalled at the fiscal irresponsibility and moral decadence of the current face(s) of today's Republican Party. Not everyone can claim to hold Christian and family values and still support a president who has cheated on all three wives and paid pornstars to keep quiet about it, for example. You can't be a budget hawk and be cool with budget deficits that next year will be over $1T. More people are noticing that this Congress, having given a $1.5T tax break to ultra-rich, is saying publicly they will cut Social Security and Medicare in an attempt to trim the resultant surge in the deficit. Too many are fully aware Social Security is funded entirely by payroll tax that they, as well as their employers, have been paying their entire career. There are thoughtful, long-term conservatives who see George Will, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson--venerable voices of and campaigners for the GOP--leaving the party in disgust with the change in values, behaviors, and actions. Donald has high approval among existing Republicans, yes, but the number of Republicans is dwindling as those dissatisfied are departing the party. Here's another point to mull over. As traditional conservatives who want smaller government, open markets, strong relationships with our international allies, fiscal responsibility, and attention to morals leave the party, what kind of people remain?
I haven’t voted in a primary in 6 years, and at that time I voted as a Republican. Would I still be showing as a Republican even though I didn’t vote for them?
This is the reason that graph is silly. This election, probably more than any other in I don't know how long, is more about the unlikely voter. That's why these polls are to be taken with a grain of salt. We keep seeing the polls of "likely voters". That's not who's going to determine the outcome of the races tomorrow.
