I didn't mean it as a bad thing. For the most part I think he was spot on with what he said. My only beef with it was the bit at the end where he dropped the line about Obama needed to get on board since the "President sets the policy" or something along those lines. That part sounded like more of the same excuses we've been hearing for the last few years. When there was a republican president but a democratic congress, it was the dems fault since they controlled congress. Now when republicans hold a majority in the house and there is a democrat as president, it's the president that is holding us back. I'm sick of these excuses from both sides. Somebody just do something.
i thought he ws very restrained. happy to be here, moved in fact, time to get to work. on va voir. and Fox call IL for Kirk.
LOL, Keith Olbermann can't even spit out his words, the pissed off expression on his face is gold...
O'Donnell was too green, Angle didn't exude a grasp of leadership well enough, but major wins for the other tea-party candidates. . . What a historic day...! ! !
basso enjoying the coverage on Fox News... UNEXPECTED So what's the over/under on the number of days Boehner will be on the floor of Congress before he breaks open a can of tears on camera?
There is good deal of bad news for Dems tonight, but some of the worst news comes out of Mass. and Nevada with the reelection of Reid and Franks. These two ancient "has been" politicians are living and breathing (barely) public relations disasters that will continue to give voters reasons to vote for Republicans. The Democratic party may remain in exile for awhile or they may recover, but with Reid and Franks as highly visible members of Congress their chances of remaining in exile are better.
Thankfully this means the DEATH of cap and trade. This bill would have made a terrible health care bill look good. Obama's agenda has been neutered. I just hope the Republican's don't forget what the silent majority elected them to do. Obama now has to realize that bi-partisanship means a lot more than asking the other side to go along with everything you do. He will have to move to the center to accomplish anything. He will have to actually work with the Republicans like Clinton did. The country will be much better off after this election. If Obama continues with business as usual he will lose in 2012.
I am curious how some these media outlets are already calling the CA races with only 31% reporting while they can't call CO with 73% reporting.
Serious?,...lol, I dunno besides the extreme swing of seats and still counting, (65 seats may be possible by some projections)..This:... http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=131028673
