if obama asked what can you do for your country you'd say the federal government was overstepping its bounds asking for favors from the citizenry

So we need to either stand up to a foreign government or kneel down to the President because we want money? Again, that seems highly restrictive and stupid. I choose more options, please (and I would greatly prefer that one of those options not be stupid).

So...standing up to a foreign government = "what your country can do for you" and kneeling down to the government to ask for money is "what you can do for your country"?

And how does voting signify a choice between those options? By voting are you not asking the government to do something? Unless you vote for yourself...then if you get elected you can start doing stuff for the country? So you are saying a vote for somebody else = "what your country can do for you" and voting for yourself is "what you can do for your country"? That still seems stupid because if everyone voted for themselves nobody would win and then we would be mired in complete inaction.

Share your wealth? Spend corporate profits on new employees? Extend tolerance to your countrymen? Scale back on you carbon footprint?

Just what does your ilk do for their country?

Didn't you say last week that you were going to stop posting here? If this is all you can contribute, I really wish you had.

Gadsden flag was first flown by the marines circa 1750's when engaging the British military. The colony then adopted it as their symbol against the "foreign" government of England. I already referenced this point earlier. Since you brought up the symbolism of the flag as a voting issue tomorrow I would have assumed you to know that.

So please answer my previous questions now that you are back on track.

You do realize that the man who said those words would be fighting tooth and nail AGAINST the Republicans, right?

    Interesting...
That's H.P. Lovecraft writing in 1936. He certainly understood horror.

Congrats Republicans / Tea Partiers. You will have the House today. Rejoice in your victory and rub it in to all the dems you know so that we can have an evan more partisan political landscape. Do not be gracious. Brag and boast.

Come Jan, it's going to be interesting to see whether you first pass a repeal of the health care act or procede to go for impeachment of Obama.

I look forward to 2 years of idiotic governence and political fighting. It's going to be fun to see if the tea party can work with hitler/stalin in the white house? How will they justify that?

    Cool, thanks man. Very gracious.

America deserves this great day in which the Republicans rise again to power.

Careful what you wish for. Americans will now expect republicans to actually do something. You know? Like actually govern?

MCCONNELL: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

    not jobs
    not the economy

Somehow I don't think the American people will take too kindly to that agenda. But please go ahead and give it yer best shot
