why don't you answer my question Texxx...er...Tallanover?

Where is the Chamber of Commerce coming up with so much money for attack ads?

Different businesses; many of which choose to stay anonymous.

    Can you name one?

Since you are an expert in this area, I have another question for you. Can a US-domiciled subsidiary of a foreign corporation be a member of the Chamber?

In the membership of the chamber of commerce.

However you are not able to name a single member nor speak intelligibly about who possibly is or is not a member, I suspect I may have been premature to accord you as a person in the know on this subject.

Apologize for having placed any undue pressure on your person. It appears I will have to look elsewhere for answers.

If the donations are anonymous how do you know they're coming from this country?

For the 2006 midterm election cycle the Chamber of Commerce only spent about $4.5 million on political ads. How did it go from $4.5 to $75 million?

Sam- can you, or mark, or for that matter Think Obama, provide a sintilla of evidence that foreign corporations are paying for the chambers ads?

Yes - the chamber of commerce has set up a number of overseas subsidiaries to reap foreign cash. The money is then kicked upstairs.

This is all documented and a matter of public record.

I don't really find it all that objectionable though in the grand scheme of what the COC is - the real problem with the COC is its policy stands - the wingnuts who have seized control are too extreme for most of corporate America, which is why companies like Google, Apple, and even energy companies like Exelon and PG&E have jumped ship over their controversial, far righ GW-denier status.

When you're too extreme on the environment for coal-burniing power companies, you've pretty much outlined your agenda as far, far outside the mainstream, no matter how much foreign money they are taking in.

I don't. Same can be said of every person that donates. The other option is to make people announce publicly their donations and thus beliefs, which is just wrong ethically.

So a US non-profit organization admits to accepting at least some money from foreign interests and is using some of its funds to influence elections. Conservatives are perfectly ok with this. Just a few months ago, however, those same conservatives were demanding to know where a different non-profit got every dime it planned on using to build a community center. Does anyone else find this kind of funny?

I am not saying people were not, but who was demanding the mosque group must reveal their finances or suffer legal consequence?
