For those of you who wonder why some GOPers get branded as racist, here's why: http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...-pro-obama-arab-american-group-vi.php?ref=fpc
Are you kidding? That is what you consider racist? They are attacking him cause he supports the Obama agenda. It has nothing to do with race. Did you even watch the video?
Just so everyone knows, this democrat is being attacked by his opponent for chairing the Arab Americans for Obama campaign in 2008
He is attacking him for supporting Obama. Thus the three quotes they post: "I have been an early supporter of Obama" "I campaigned with Barack Obama" "I chaired the Arab-Americans for Obama" He could of said "I chaired the West Virginians for Obama". Does that mean he's prejudice to West Virginians?
No. They continue with the theme by adding a third example. You just looked at it through your liberal, everyone-who-disagrees-with-me-must-be-a-racist goggles. The point of the comment was to show he supports Obama, not to claim chairing a Arab-American group is wrong.
lets see if I have this right. "I was an early supporter of Barack Obama" Meaning: My opponent supports Obama, and this is wrong "I campaigned with Barack Obama" Meaning: My opponent supports Obama, and this is wrong "I chaired the Arab-Americans for Obama" Meaning: My opponent supports Arab-Americans, and this is wrong Is that really what went through your head when you watched that ad?
Why am I not surprised? Paladino’s Pet Pit Bull Adds Teeth to Campaign WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Duke, an 80-pound pit bull campaigning with Carl P. Paladino, the Republican nominee for governor, seems to be learning a thing or two from his mad-as-hell master. Just days after Mr. Paladino sparred with a New York Post reporter whom he threatened to take out, Duke was on the offensive, biting a yellow Labrador at a campaign stop on Saturday. The episode took place outside of a community center here, near the Finger Lakes, where Mr. Paladino had just addressed a crowd of Tea Party members. As Mr. Paladino made his way to his vehicle, Duke began barking at the Labrador and sunk his teeth into its right leg, witnesses said, causing it to bleed. David Crea, a chemical engineer who helped organize the rally, said the Labrador belonged to visitors who were camping in nearby Warren W. Clute Memorial Park. “The dog was just an innocent bystander,” Mr. Crea said. Efforts on Monday to find out how the injured dog was faring were unsuccessful.
So, if one line that might be a little bit of race-baiting gets Republicans branded as racist, what happens to Democrats when a Democratic Congresswoman says that "the Vietnamese are trying to take our seat". (link)
Does anyone here know the NY laws on violent dogs? In MN that would be grounds for putting the pit bull to sleep.
really? In CA there is nothing you can do if the dog attacks another dog. If it attacks a person then yes there are repercussions.
Stop acting like one bit of race-baiting by a single Republican is what gets the entire Republican base branded as racist.
Not being a dog owner I don't know the ins and outs of the laws but my understanding is that a dog that goes out and attacks other dogs in MN is considered a violent dog.
