I don't think the Feds demand P.E. You said the Department of Education entitles everyone to a minimum education, so they must have defined what that minimum education is (8 years of math, 10 years of science, and so forth). In my story you can substitute P.E. or math for what ever you like.

Not really a surprise... Here in Oregon, there's a guy running against Wyden that wouldn't have a prayer before this year, but if you listen to radio, all you hear are ads from these groups attacking Wyden. (This could have gone in the Rolling Stone thread, because it plays to one of the themes there: big money will continue to control the GOP regardless of what the Tea Party folks think. They are not spending this money because they like Tea Party people.
why is GM using tax payer dollars to contribute to congressional candidates? note that the contributions are almost evenly divided between Dem/Rep. http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/gm-pac-gop-should-just-say-no-—-but-they-wont/
Probably because they are acting like any other company. After all, we didn't want the government getting involved in running GM. right?
Probably also because Republicans used Citizens United and John roberts' proclivities to eliminate restrictions on corporate political spending.
The issue isn't that stock holders or a CEO is giving money to a political candidate. The issue is stock holders or a CEO who have accepted loads of tax payer money are providing to a candidate. But you know this. You are just being cheeky.
things are getting a bit hot in New York! the tea party backed candidate for Governor <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AkWxT4aECZA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AkWxT4aECZA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> For those too lazy to watch, Paladino threatens to "take you out buddy" when a reporter dares to ask him for evidence for an accusation he made about Cuomo.
You must of been too lazy to watch cause thats not why he said "take you out buddy". Here is the whole quote: "I want to know why you sent your goons after my daughter, Fred. You send another goon to my daughter's house and I'll take you out, buddy!" It had nothing to do with a reporter wanting proof of a claim.
You should get the whole story before you start popping off. The Post never sent "goons" after his daughter. Paladino is a crazy hothead who should be nowhere near the levers of power. Thank god he's down about 30 points right now.
You can claim whatever you want. The quote proves you're wrong. Unless you're saying my quote is incorrect? Paladino is pissed because he thinks this reporter too aggressively investigated his 10 year old daughter. The New York Times says my quote is correct.
Maybe. How the hell could you or I know what reporters are doing to his 10 year old daughter? Either way he isn't pissed because the reporter asked him for some proof.
NY Post Editor: Paladino 'Misrepresented What Occurred' Before Threatening Me New York Post state editor Fred Dicker nearly came to blows with Republican gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino last night, who was angry about the way the press has been talking about his 10-year-old out-of-wedlock daughter. Dicker appeared on Fox News today to defend himself, saying that Paladino "misrepresented what occurred" before he threatened Dicker. Dicker claims that he was simply asking Paladino about his unsubstantiated allegations that Andrew Cuomo also had an affair several years ago, allegations, Dicker says, that if true "have never before been made public." Paladino brought up photographers, who he claimed were from the Post, taking pictures of his daughter. "You send another goon to my daughter's house, and I'll take you out, buddy!" Paladino yelled, before the two men were separated last night. Dicker said that the Post "didn't do a story about the child - we did a story about the mother," and there were no pictures of the girl in the story.
New York Post claims otherwise. That's proof to you that they haven't been hassling of Paladino's daughter?
