I wonder if the Lowry and Love possibility actually has legs

 

If the rockets are going to miss Melo, then they could pay Lowry for $10M per year, more than that is too much from the Morey standard.

 

Morey should see if he can get some of the mediocre people we had and have them come off the bench lol

Ok, um, quick question:

Talking to Lowry first, assuming as part of the meeting they present him with an offer.. what if he says 'Yes' right then?

I mean, before even TALKING with LeBron or Melo..

Seems like maybe kind of an awkward situation, to be honest.

'Umm, yeah, well, don't sign that offer sheet just yet Kyle, we still have other pitches to make to guys we actually want more than you..'

 

I would imagine Morey was completely honest with Lowry. He has enough respect for him to do that.

 

Perhaps he can make it up to him for lowballing him earlier

If Rockets only end up w/ Lowry and no other big free agent...i considered the offseason a failure. Two reasons:
1. They haven't addressed their PF position
2. They just lost a solid backup Center that is very difficult to replace

 

1. PF position is no the weakest, it's the PG position so we addressed that at least. TJ is a solid starter and has room to grow + we can still trade Lin maybe for a Millsap or other D-Mo might make some strides as well.

2. We can still get a back-up center, just wait and see
