Here are some random trades...sorry, I'm not good at the crazy 3 or 4 team trades! Trade 1 Houston: -8.8 ppg, +3.9 rpg, +0.1 apg T-Mac, Mike James, Bonzi, Chuck, Luther for Hinrich, Deng, Thomas, Ben Wallace Trade 2 Houston: +2.7 ppg, +1.3 rpg, +0.4 apg T-Mac, Shane, Hayes for Andre Miller, Kyle Korver, Samual Dalembert, unprotected first round pick this year Trade 3 Houston: +6.7 ppg, +5.7 rpg,+6.3 apg T-Mac, Mike James, Shane Battier for Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, Antoine Wright Trade 4 Houston: +14.1 ppg, +8.5 rpg, +1.2 apg Tracy McGrady for Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford Trade 5 Houston: +21.7 ppg, +8.2 rpg, +3.1 apg T-Mac, Mike James for Cassell, Mobley, Maggette, Al Thorton Trade 6 Houston: +8.1 ppg, +7.9 rpg, +1.7 apg T-Mac, James, Snyder, Bonzi Wells, 2008 1st round pick for Antonio Daniels, Caron Butler, Antwan Jamison, 2008 1st round pick ---------------- just some random ones...
easy c'mon people: 1. T-Mac, Mike James for Mike Redd, Mo Williams, Charlie Villanueva lineup: Williams Redd Battier Villanueva Yao 2. T-Mac, Hayes, Mike James for Kirilenko, Milsap, Okur, Giricek lineup: Alston Battier Kirilenko Okur Yao bench Head, Milsap, Giricek, Scola, Bonzi, Brooks i'd do both of these. in a heartbeat.
lmao... Shane = Ron Artest AND 1st rounder now? LOL In that trade nobody wins. No clue why the oldest team in the NBA would want Shane Battier and give up the little athleticism they have. And I'm not even sure if Ricky Davis is even better than Battier. I don't want Jermaine, one of the most overrated "superstars" and 2nd round pick is almost useless. All things considered, trading for injury prone Jermaine + 2nd rounder, is not an upgrade over T-mac.
I doubt these Jazz players will improve us much. I'd take DWill and Milsap for Mac and James/Hayes. Heck.. throw in Steve and Snyder if they'll take them. Ok maybe not Snyder.
I dont why everyone want T-Mac to go. But I am sure that everyone would want T-mac in the team at the end of the season.
this dude can not be serious clutch this should knock him right back to rookie status. You must be a person who has never played organized basketball before. I am not happy with tmac shooting all those jumpers but i do know enough that we need to surrond him with legit help and not want to trade him for crap like this i am so glad that you all aren't GM's
Reading Comprehension: Mid-Season Random Trade Thread Besides which, T-Mac is our only trade-able asset that will return anything of value. All proposed trades seem to me to be equitable. Some have even suggested the other team would be "getting raped" Please constructively add to this thread by actually analyzing why one of the proposals is crazy, or proposing a trade of your own whereby we get to "surrond him (Tracy) with legit help" by actually trading some of the other Rockets....
The one thing I notice about posts like this is that they almost never offer up a better trade suggestion. A majority come across as if any trade suggested by a fan automatically sucks, and many insinuate that a good trade doesn't even exist. In the end they're all just for fun anyway, so why must people hate so much on other's ideas, especially when they can't seem to share their own?
Trade 1: T-Mac/Yao and Mike James for Okarfor and G. Wallace Trade 2: T-mac for Rashad McCants and Gerald Green Trade 3: T-mac for Randolph and Jamal Crawford Trade 4: Yao for Kevin Durant, Nick Collison and Ridnour
As musch as I hate to say, isnt that true, under current situation of T-Mac, no one could gain an equal value from getting T-mac. Who would like a 20 million dollars glass man? IMO, we just stuck here with him. So lets be realistic, our roster will always has his name on it.
we could try: Tmac for Jrich, Felton, and Morrison. Bobcats get a legit superstar who can boost ticket sales and can play alongside Gerald wallace (who is better as a supporting player). They would be a dark horse in the east. Houston lessens the scoring loss from losing mac by bringing in jrich, a dynamic shooter/slasher, and felton, a decent playmaker and repsectable scorer. Morrison has potential, but bobcats do not seem interested in playing him at all. With these three, houston can space the floor with slashers and shooters. just a thought. flame away.
Tracy Mcgrady Shane Battier ---trade--- Gilbert Arenas Caron Butler Darius Songaila __________________________________ Mid-season trade if things don't turn around. Wait for Gilbert to be healthy (he should be back in less than 2 months), add some picks, cash, or small parts to get it done. Arenas is a FA this summer and either his money comes off the books, which opens up the FA market, or we re-sign him to a decent offer. Scoring has been a problem in Houston, but a problem Arenas has never had. The so called Adelman offense, would be perfect for him (look at Mike Bibby 01-06). You swap Battier to recieve a All-Star in Butler. Songaila helps the money match, and gives depth at forward. The only thing I see is that we would be point guard heavy, which opens another can of worms.
If you really want Redd and Williams this could work: Incoming Players Tracy McGrady Salary: $18,257,750 Years Remaining: 3 PTS: 22.8 REB: 4.7 AST: 5.1 PER: 21.49 Bonzi Wells Salary: $2,284,200 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 9.5 REB: 5.5 AST: 1.3 PER: 14.58 Rafer Alston Salary: $4,550,000 Years Remaining: 3 PTS: 9.3 REB: 3.2 AST: 5.0 PER: 11.97 Steve Francis Salary: $2,439,333 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 5.5 REB: 2.3 AST: 3.0 PER: 9.40 Outgoing Players: Michael Redd, Mo Williams, Bobby Simmons Houston Rockets Incoming Players Michael Redd Salary: $14,520,000 Years Remaining: 4 PTS: 23.9 REB: 5.2 AST: 3.9 PER: 21.50 Mo Williams Salary: $7,750,000 Years Remaining: 5 PTS: 15.3 REB: 3.8 AST: 6.8 PER: 15.80 Bobby Simmons Salary: $9,280,000 Years Remaining: 3 PTS: 6.5 REB: 2.6 AST: 1.0 PER: 9.43 Outgoing Players: Tracy McGrady, Bonzi Wells, Rafer Alston, Steve Francis Why does Houston do this? The Yao and T mac experiment has gone on for too long. Yao tries hard but seems to wear out at the end of games and does not rebound well. T mac could be the best basketball player in the world but too often settles on jumpers (I HATE THAT PULL UP THREE HE SHOOTS IN TRANSITION, IF HE DRIVES TO THE HOLE HE WILL EITHER GET FOULED OR GET A LAY UP) and slacks off defensively. Houston can't trade Yao, the big man is just worth too much so that leaves McGrady. This trade benefits Houston immensely b/c they get two excellent outside shooters/ scorers (too succeed at a high level in the nba you must have three scorers) I initially wanted to do T mac and Bonzi for Redd and Williams but then realized the bucks aren't going to take the deal without houston taking a bad contract from them (Simmons) Why do the Bucks do this? The Bucks aren't playing good ball right now and need a change. A McGrady in the east gets you into the first round of the playoffs. Rafer gives you a serviceable point guard to replace williams, Wells gives you another scorer, and if Francis has anything left in the tank you get a spark off the bench. If wells or francis doesn't work out you drop em after this year and pick up a free agent. If the bucks want another guard (or dump a bad contract on us), the Rockets could include james for Dan Gadzuric. (James has two years left Gadzuric has four) If the bucks don't take that deal throw in a draft pick
