Bell could be genuinely bad or sulking as he made it clear he didn't want to be in Milwaukee.

Bucks desperately need point guard help and more D.

    Bogut+Bell for Francis+Head+Hayes+Scola+1st round pick/s

I think the Bucks have 3 non-guaranteed contracts on their roster. So they are able to take on more players.

    Bucks
    Williams, Head/Francis, Ivey
    Redd, Mason, Sessions
    Simmons, CharlieV
    Hayes, Scola, Ruffin
    Yi, Voskuhl, Gadzuric

    Rockets
    Alston, Brooks, Bell
    McGrady, James
    Battier, Bonzi, Snyder
    Bogut, Harris, Novak
    Yao, Deke, Landry

I wouldn't do any trades with the Bucks without Michael Redd involved.

    --Best Trade Scenerio--

    Tracy Mcgrady
    Shane Battier
    Mike James
    Luther Head

    for

    Jason Kidd
    Vince Carter

    _________________________________________________

This would be the best fit for the Rockets. They lose some depth but gain a more balanced attack with Yao.

Bell is a great shooter. At the very least, we should swap Snyder and Head for him. Then bring back Mike Harris.

It was a fantasy trade post. Anyway Redd would be gone before they traded Bogut.

Bucks have a couple pieces on the bench in Bell & CharlieV who are worth looking at.

I'm thinking Jorge Garbajosa... He regularly got minutes at the three last year.

Sorry Link doesn't work. Here's the content.

This is supposed to be a rumor from Peter Vescey. I have yet to even find where this is, but Sparky is talking about it right now on WSSP.

I guess first Vescey mentioned that the Bucks are shopping Michael Redd, and one of the deals offerred to us was Ron Artest for Michael Redd. That of course doesn't work salary wise as a a one for one and would require other parts, plus that is just absurd
Also, Artest now just had surgery yesterday and will be out for 3-4 weeks.

Anyway, the other deal on the table supposedly is Redd, Villanueva, and a 1st round pick to Houston for Tracy McGrady and Bonzi Wells.

This is the last year of Wells contract, incidentally, with an 07-08 salary of $2.2842 mil

I have heard nothing at all about this and I happened to be actually working the phones a bit late last night talking to some NBA people. That doesn't mean it doesn't have any legs of course, but this IS Peter Vescey (something Sparky is making sure to state as a qualifier as well).

    Mickael Pietrus

he wants out of Golden State, and he's way too good for Miami

My Prediction: He would be the surprise of the season, playing the way we all dreamed T-Mac would play when he first put on a Rockets uniform but didn't, plus Pietrus can play defense

he may be a BYC player, but Morey will figure it out

    GET IT DONE!!!

There is a rumor that Steve Francis's name has been mentioned as GS needs a back-up pg because of troy hudson's injury, but I don't think we coulg give Pietrius the minutes he'd want.

However, I woudn't mind seeing this deal done:

Mike Pietrius and Matt Barnes for Shane Battier and Steve Francis.

    I like it A LOT.
Matt Barnes and Shane Battier are practically the same players on paper.
Same position, similar height, and their stats are almost the same, and considering that Barnes plays 10 minutes less per game than Battier, that says a lot.

I checked on the real gm trade checker and it works, under the consideration that both Barnes and Pietrius must agree to the trade. Let's hope they do.

    GET IT DONE!!

With T-Mac out, if Pietrius does play his heart out and show he's a capable starter playing 35 mpg and start winning games in spurts over 2 games, and if T-Mac truly is "quietly letting us know he's unhappy" as that Chicago article mentioned, then I wouldn't be surprised to see T-Mac gone.

As Peter Vecsey said on NBA TV this morning, Boston was able to get their stars and pick up some veteran players because they had assets. Our team has assets and an unhappy T-Mac, allegedly, so rebuilding this team shouldn't be a problem. Vecsey also said he thinks we need a big man to come off the bench for Yao.

    What do you all think?

T-mac isn't going to be moved anytime soon. It's just too risky not to give it more chance to work out especially with the team playing better.

I do think we could use an upgrade, and GS wants to move Pietrius and have some interest in Steve Francis, but there's a lot of problems here.

Francis's health is questionable as he's already out with an injury. And to create minute for Pietrius - he won't allow the trade without it, you'd have to move Battier.

We won't move Battier for just Pietrius - who is a restricted free agent at the end of the year. But getting Barnes would make that work. I however am not sure GS would go for it just to get a back-up pg as it seems they really like Barnes.

We might have to part with someone else, but we don't have much to offer really. Who knows, it's a long shot, but I wouldn't be surprised if conversations aren't going on.

I've been wanting Pietrus on this team....this guy is a freak athletically and a very good lock down defender.

...........but he's brain dead. NO bball IQ. For that reason only, I am disinterested. I like his physical tools, etc. But if he can't put together everything mentally, forget it. SS part II.

TMAC to the Heat for Zo, Davis, and Williams's expiring contracts and next years first round pick unprotected.

That gives us all the cash we need to rebuild around Yao and a top 10 pick to combine with ours to make that one pick in the top 10 and another in the top 15 that we can combine for Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, OJ Mayo, or Bayless from Arizona.

With the cash we can go after Deng, Igoudala, Calderon, or Ben Gordon

Why in the world would the Heat give up expiring contracts to acquire T-Mac, who at his best merely duplicates what Wade already gives them. The Heat are even more desperate to dump salary than we are.

Well, the way I see it, you mentioned Barnes, and for some reason, the kid born and raised in California meshing happily ever after on a winning team, I don't really see him making the switch to Houston.

Instead of Francis, a direct trade of Mike James for Pietrus would work.

While T-Mac is on the injured list, I think Pietrus would get plenty of minutes with line up like this:

    PG Rafer Alston
    SG Mickael Pietrus
    SF Shane Battier
    PF Chuck Hayes
    C Yao Ming

    and when T-Mac comes back

    PG Rafer Alston
    SG Mickael Pietrus
    SF Tracy McGrady
    PF Chuck Hayes
    C Yao Ming

and have Battier bring depth off the bench as the 6th man

I will give Mjames and Snyder if they want to for Pietrus, he can actually help us instead of getting nothing out of this two players

How about Battier, Snyder, and our #1 for Mike Dunleavy and Indy's #2? Indy sheds salary and picks up a pick. They ain't goin nowhere except rebuilding after they dump O'Neal.
