As did I, ShaudMC, as did I. I normally wouldn't invest a high pick in a Raider, but Run DmC is a baller.
Moes, My team is very strong at all the skill positions so I figured i'd spend the last two picks of my draft on Fargas and [drum roll.....] MICHAEL CRABTREE!
Foolish then, Fargas is useless and Crabtree even if he signed today would have Damon Huard as his starting QB. If I'm in the late rounds, I'd try for a super sleeper like James Davis out in Cleveland or Deon Butler in Seattle.
^^ moestavern19 or should i say moestavern19000 posts? (of course this will only last about 20 seconds)
I don't expect Fargas to do much but the final two rounds of the draft are complete crap shoot. I'll take Fargas over the Jerome Harrison's and Tashard Choice's out there. Same with Crabtree. If he doesn't sign in the next week or two i'll just cut him. You can ALWAYS pick up a sleeper WR that starts and gets touches in my league with the difference between those guys and Michael Crabtree is, well, that they aren't Michael Crabtree. Plus, you're talking to a Calvin Johnson owner from last year -- it didn't matter who his QB was he still produced. Crabtree stands a chance of being that good.
I think Crabtree is going to find it extremely difficult to succeed in San Francisco. He's a whiny little b****, and those don't last long in this league. I'm not talking about like a TO whiner, I mean like I think the kid has maturity issues rather than attention-whoring, egomaniac issues. He's probably ****ting his pants just thinking about Singletary ripping him a new one.
You could be right. His attitude definitely stinks and often times attitude goes hand-in-hand with success on the field. All the same, he just needs to fricken sign already! Who cares if Darrius Heyward-Bey is getting paid more? It makes sense that Player A taken 7th gets paid more than Player B taken 10th. That's just how the draft works. Ahhhhh, oh well....my fantasy team will survive with or without him.
Why would you show highlights of the game you're about to show? Is the NFL Network stupid, or what? Stupid is as stupid does?
So apparently McNabb walked over to the OC and told him enough was enough in terms of using Vick for that night.
I'll refrain from judging for now... Maybe he knew Vick had a tweaked ankle and was hiding it from the staff McNabb can't be that petty, to be worried about his glory stolen in a preseason game, can he?
Everything I read said that Reid did not want to show off too much before the season. Why would McNabb want him benched anyway? He's likely suspended for the first 2 regular season games, if what current analysts are saying hold true. I think it is just media people hyping up a non-situation, something they tend to do way to much to pull in viewers, listeners, readers, whatever.
Skip Bayless said it, but we are talking about Skip Bayless. Then on a Message Board a pretty good source on that board who always takes up for McNabb according to them said that QUOTE (Sack that QB @ Aug 27 2009, 11:49 PM) * Eskin said he was in the locker room after the game and he found out that McNabb wasn't happy with how the Eagles used Vick and he thinks it hurt the offense. He said he's not sure what aspect of it he didn't like, but said he was upset. Now this is the ultimate McNabb slurper in Eskin, so he's not one of the people who just hates on the guy for no reason. He also said McNabb went over to Marty and told him enough is enough with using Vick.
I always felt like McNabb was a little fake with the media. During the whole T.O./McNabb drama I have always said I think McNabb had just as much to do with the fallout as T.O. did. Just T.O. is an easy target which he makes himself one at times so naturally most of the blame went to T.O.
I think he had some to do with it but I do not think that he had just as much to do with it as Owens.
Yeah I might have went a little overboard with that but I think the media tends to blowup every single thing T.O. does but he definitely gives them a reason to do so at times.
